From 100 To Zero

Well here I am ‘ Back in the USA’
Sounds like a Springsteen Song I have to say
I left Australia just last week, very warm and sunny
If my friends could see me now they would think it rather funny
I had a tan that I worked very hard to get
Only to be wrapped up in winter woollies, body not seen the sun yet
Woke up yesterday to icicles on the trees
No sign of spring flowers that are usually covered in bees
But I am grateful as the house is nice and warm
Cold outside, at least now sunny no sign of a storm
I believe, I am told that spring is near, that’s Mother Natures plan
Summer around the corner, will be back at the pool, working hard on that tan
As you can see from the pictures, my Son and Grandson
Loving the warmth, the ocean in Australia and having such fun
I am not really complaining as I love this country and I am with my husband, my hero
Even though I have gone from temperatures of 100 degrees to Zero
Hawaii is the only U.S. State never to report a temperature of Zero degrees F or below
The average person spends two weeks of its life waiting for a traffic light to change.
Colors like red, yellow and orange make you hungry (I guess that’s why Mc Donald’s fast food chain are those colors)
Baboons were once trained by Egyptians to wait on tables. The Egyptians recognized the intelligence of “sacred” baboons and reportedly trained them to wait on tables, pluck weeds from garden plots, and assume positions of prayer when in a temple.
To take lumps out of a bag of sugar, place it in the refrigerator for 24 hours
Americans spend more than $630 million a year on golf balls
Every human spent about a half an hour as a single cell
Knots come out easier if you sprinkle talcum powder on them
Would you not love it if your power bill was Zero Dollars?
Well it is possible. Two Orange County builders and Habitat for Humanity are building homes that are constructed in such a way it will be energy-efficient and the cost up front is not over the top.
So if you are about to build a new home this may well be worth looking into.
- They are building houses that produce as much energy as they use. Resulting in Zero or extremely low energy bills.
- They are equipped with solar panels, energy and water conserving designs.
- Energy efficiency allows new homes to compete with cheaper resale housing.
So there are a lot of plus’s to this new concept when it comes to saving on your monthly energy bill.
