Buy some Time With This Gadget

While traveling security in hotels is a big concern. There are heaps of fancy expensive gadgets that profess to keep you safe. Not the case.

Here is an item that costs next to nothing and seasoned travelers swear by to keep them safe.

The simple humble ‘Door Stop’.

This rubber wedge is only $3 in most cases. This can be used while staying at any hotel room to stop those unwanted intruders from breaking and entering.

The toughest burglar would find trouble breaking into a hotel room with this wedge under the door where the security chain is just an easy pop of strength  to break.

If there was a lone gunman or terrorist  attack they typically go room to room and in an event of not being able to open the door they will move on to the rest of the rooms before returning to yours,  which will give you escape time and time to call for help

A Cat Backpack – Great idea

This looks like a brilliant idea for walking the cat, taking it to the vet, traveling.  I checked the prices and Amazons price starts at $108.00.

Have You Had Breakfast?

Well arrived back in Houston on Sunday and must say it is good to be back. Rode  my new Harley Fat Bob (‘Robert’), a few adjustments need doing such as new pipes, the stock ones are just far too quiet. Have to say ‘Robert’ is pretty beautiful and cant wait for the weekend (hopefully no rain) to go for a long ride.

The weather has been fantastic so far. I have been in the bikini sun baking an hour or so by the pool for the last 2 days getting my quota of Vitamin D and recuperating from 20 hours of traveling with 16 of that in the air.

Saving Tip For Today – 09/06/2012

Compact Cars as a rental are a better deal.

Unless you are traveling with a large number of people or have lots of luggage, reserve a cheaper compact car.
The compact car is also fuel-efficient and easier to park.

According to AARP Bulletin Compacts are not popular and rental companies fill their lots with bigger cars: If they run out of compacts you may get a free upgrade.
Fuel consumption will me more expensive but you will have the luxury of more space for less.
