Mistakes That Make Your Hair Look Thinner.

  1. Using the wrong brushes.

Having great hair has a lot to do with the tools you use on your hair especially the brushes.  “Flat brushes and metal brushes won’t give you as much tension when working with the hair as a boar bristle or mixed bristle round brush. Celebrity stylist and founder of Eva Scrivo Salon. ” Tension allows you to get a better grip to get lift and volume in the right places.”

There is a brush called Kent CSGL Ladies’ Thinning Hairbrush that has been  designed to use on hair for those with a thinning problem.51HoWsNO9uL._SL1000_

2. Your hair is just one all-over color.

Hair that is all the one color tends to make your hair look thinner
Add varied tones. Highlighting definitely adds depth to your strands.

3. The length locks could be weighing you down and make your hair look thinner.

Cut your hair short or mid length. If your hair is thinning, long hair will look a little stringy and wispy. Keeping it shorter is easier to keep it healthy.

4. Hair color too close to your skin color.

When you have a pale complexion and your hair is platinum it is inclined to make your hair look thinner. Add some varied colors to your hair to take that bland look away.

5. Dying your hair too dark.

If your hair is thinning and your hair is too dark it seem to make your part a little wider which gives the appearance of thinning hair. Put some varied shades to help give the appearance of thicker hair.

6. Be careful of the products you use on your hair

Oil- and silicone-based products lay heavy in the hair and tend to make it look thinner.

7. Hot Tools

Be so careful how often you use hot. Hot tools can damage the cuticle, promoting hair breakage.
Use a heat protectant before styling with hot tools to avoid scorching your hair.

8. Your cut is too blunt.

Have your hair layered as it gives your hair that thicker look.

9. Don’t over shampoo

Do not use shampoo every day. When you shower use just conditioner and say shampoo only once or twice a week. Avoid products with harsh detergents, like sodium lauryl sulfate, which can cause breakage.
When you suds up, don’t rub shampoo into the hair itself. Instead, gently massage it into your scalp and let it slide down through your locks.

10 Try a tinted hair spray.
Use a colored powder made specifically to disguise hair loss. These come with an applicator like the kind you use to apply eye shadow. Choose a shade that matches your roots. Apply the product lightly — tap the excess off the brush and dab it gently onto your scalp.

11. Don’t Tease.

Teasing seems like an easy way to give your locks a boost, but it can damage your hair and cause split ends and fly-aways.

Radiation Risk You Are Exposed To – How to Avoid it

Screen Shot 2015-09-02 at 12.58.26 PM

I have decided every Wednesday to offer you my idea of a good Christmas gift. I am going to do this till the end of the year. I am always looking for something different to give my friends so thought I might share this with you.

Why Smart Phones could cause cancer in Children and why this phone cover is the perfect gift For Christmas.

My Grandkids are definitely  getting this for Xmas

Some experts say no, others say our devices could be the Asbestos of the future

I was watching Dr Oz the other day and he had a pediatrician from Chicago on his program and she was saying that she feels our children are in danger from all our smart phones, tablets and computers. The amount of electromagnetic radiation that is emitted from these devices could put our children in danger of becoming ill in the future.

As she said nothing has yet been proved but believes that in 20 years time there could be a result from all this exposure.

It has been suggested that the radiation has caused cancer in adult. The scary thing is that the skull of children is so much thinner than adults which could be a real danger to them.

A survey was done by Dr Oz . Families were asked how many devices do your children have and 65% of those said their children had 2 or more devices.

What attracted my attention was that the pediatrician mentioned about the fact that not only do they put some of these devices to their ears most of them,  my grandchildren included, work with these devices on their laps which are close to their reproductive organs.

Apparently there is some regulation (FCC) about how much radiation these devices can emit  but at the same time we have increased the usage over the years.

Another factor is that because a child’s skull is thinner than an adult, their brain absorbs the electro magnetic radiation 10 times more than an adult.

Example that I took off the screen. Here we see the result of a 5 year old, 10 year old and an Adult.

Now that I find rather a major concern. You can watch this on DrOz.com

When it comes to radiation distance matters.
1. Keep the phone as far away from the body as possible
2. Don’t allow laptops or tablets to sit on lap
3. Adjust to airplane mode when not in use
4. Use the speaker phone
5. Text
6. Don’t sleep with your phone next to your head
7. Teenage girls –  do not put them in your bras
8. There is a cellphone case that helps with the protection of electromagnetic radiation.

This is my Christmas Gift suggestion Click on pictures to buy:-

Sometimes Someone Sends You Something That So Makes Sense

My Friend sent me this today via Facebook and I thought to myself “How True” and that they are words for thought.

On the other hand I am so glad that I am still wishing to be thinner, have a new car, and of course more money. We can never have too much of that.

I have a dear friend that is fighting ovarian cancer at the moment and has been to ‘Hell and Back’. I believe she is going to make it but I am not sure that she does as she is now on her 3rd round of that poisonous Sh…. called Chemo. But she is crawling her way back and I believe her to be tougher than she thinks.

Love you Cindy
