Texts, phones kill 16,000: study

This is another of my pet Peeves. As I have mentioned before I ride a motorcycle and Drivers who text in the car are our main danger on the road. They don’t see us and move directly on to us or in front that we have to try to avoid them.Texting has caused many fatalities.

This is an article published by the “The Globe and Mail” on the 24th of September.

Drivers distracted by talking or texting on cell phones killed an estimated 16,000 people from 2001 to 2007, U.S. researchers reported on Thursday.

The estimate, one of the first scientific attempts to quantify how many people have died in accidents caused specifically by mobile telephone distractions, also suggests a growing number of these drivers are under 30.

So think before you text and drive, you could save a life.Hey it could be mine.
