Global Warming? – Hmmm Not So Much

08-19_news_iceland

This is an article written by Ian Rutherford Plimer is an Australian geologist plus many other letters after his name related to our Mother Earth. I believe it to be very interesting reading and maybe we should rethink a lot we have been sold via ‘Global warming’ and or ‘Climate Change’.

You make up your own mind but I think not  Politician banging (well yes I am a bit)  but  I think I would rather listen to those who make it their life to study these things than Politicians that are swayed by those who will profit from our believing them (being the politicians).

Interesting reading

BREATHE DEEPLY, (AND HOLD IT).

Where Does the Carbon Dioxide Really Come From?

PLIMER: “Okay, here’s the bombshell. The recent volcanic eruption in Iceland. Since its first spewing of volcanic ash has, in just FOUR DAYS, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet–all of you.

Of course, you know about this evil carbon dioxide that we are trying to suppress–it’s that vital chemical compound that every plant requires to live and grow and to synthesize into oxygen for us humans and all animal life.

I know….it’s very disheartening to realize that all of the carbon emission savings you have accomplished while suffering the inconvenience and expense of driving Prius hybrids, buying fabric grocery bags, sitting up till midnight to finish your kids “The Green Revolution” science project, throwing out all of your non-green cleaning supplies, using only two squares of toilet paper, putting a brick in your toilet tank reservoir, selling your SUV and speedboat, vacationing at home instead of abroad, nearly getting hit every day on your bicycle, replacing all of your 50p light bulbs with £5 light bulbs….. well, all of those things you have done have all gone down the tubes in just four days.

The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth’s atmosphere in just four days–yes, FOUR DAYS–by that volcano in Iceland has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon. And there are around 200 active volcanoes on the planet spewing out this crud at any one time–EVERY DAY.

I don’t really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should mention that when the volcano Mt. Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it spewed out more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth.

Yes, folks, Mt. Pinatubo was active for over one year–think about it!!!!

Of course, I shouldn’t spoil this ‘touchy-feely tree-hugging’ moment and mention the effect of solar and cosmic activity and the well-recognized 800-year global heating and cooling cycle, which keeps happening despite our completely insignificant efforts to affect climate change.

And I do wish I had a silver lining to this volcanic ash cloud, but the fact of the matter is that the bush fire season across the western USA and Australia this year alone will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years. And it happens every year.

Just remember that your government just tried to impose a whopping carbon tax on you, on the basis of the bogus ‘human-caused’ climate-change        scenario.

Hey, isn’t it interesting how they don’t mention ‘Global Warming’ anymore, but just ‘Climate Change’–you know why? It’s because the planet has COOLED by 0.7 degrees in the past few years and these global warming bull artists got caught with their pants down.

And, just keep in mind that you might yet have an Emissions Trading Scheme–that whopping new tax–imposed on you that will achieve absolutely nothing except make you poorer. It won’t stop any volcanoes from erupting, that’s for sure.

But, hey, relax……give the world a hug and have a nice day!”

4. Research shows that when a woman is most fertile her voice alters subtly and the change is enough to let a guy know its a great time for you to reproduce.
Its all down to hormonal changes that accompany a woman’s menstrual cycle. Research at James Madison University in the US involved study participants listening to recordings of women’s voices. It revealed an increase of 20% in electrical activity in participants skin and a 5 percent increase in heart rate, when a woman was at peak fertility. The changes took place within five seconds of hearing her voice, long before the listener was aware of it.

5. Danish scientists have discovered that those with blue eyes have just one ancestor. Apparently a genetic mutation took place somewhere between 6000 and 10,000 years ago that led to the existence of every blue eyed person walking on the planet today.
“Originally we all had brown eyes” University of Copenhagen professor Hans Eiberg says. “But a genetic mutation affecting the OCA2 gene in our chromosomes resulted in the creation of a ‘switch’ which literally turned off the ability to produce brown eyes”. The switch reduced melanin production in the iris, and DNA testing shows this happened at the same point for everyone with blue eyes, while people with brown or green eyes show a lot more variation in that part of their DNA

2. In exchange for Pepsi products, Russia gave Pepsi 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate, and a destroyer. The countertrade arrangement where the rights to sell Russian vodka in the US in exchange for Pepsi (to be sold in Russia) was a huge story in the 1990’s.
With 17 submarines, this meant that, for a short period of time, Pepsi-Cola had the world’s seventh largest submarine fleet. Eventually the fleet of 20 naval vessels will be sold for scrap steel, thereby paying for Pepsi products being moved to the Soviet Union.

3. The Iconic Wall street charging bull is an illegal piece of street art. The 7,100 pound bronze sculpture was originally created by Arturo Di Modica who spent about $360,000 to build and install the bull after the 1987 stock market crash as a symbol of “Strength, power and hope” for the American people. It was installed outside the New York Stock Exchange as a gift to the City on December 15 1989. The same day it was towed away by the NYPD and impounded. Because of public outcry it was brought back and placed “temporarily” back at the north end of Bowling Green Park where it stands today. The bull is still technically a “temporary installment. The city does not own the sculpture and it has been for sale By Di Modica since 2004 on the condition that the buyer does not move it from its current location

An international team of geneticists has made the astonishing discovery that more than 16 million men in central Asia have the same male Y chromosome as the great Mongol leader. His enthusiastic mating habits had created a lineage of more than 20,000 individuals,’ said team leader Dr Chris Tyler-Smith. ‘That now appears to account for around 8% of the men in central Asia.
