  1. According to Georgia State University your blood pressure drops by 13% after having sex. This has the same effect as those achieved by common blood pressure medications possible because of the release the stress relieving hormone oxytocin.

2.  According to Micheal Mosley a well-known nutritionist stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria. The investigation of the hypothesis that the bacteria, Helicobacter pylori and not stress caused ulcers. It was found that these ulcers were successfully treated with antibiotics. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin and ibuprofen can also cause ulcers if taken too often.

 

3. There is a travel company called Pack Up+ Go.

This company  (in the US) books your flights and hotel for you  but does not tell you where you are going.’ Surprise ‘ . It does a survey of you plus keeping your budget in mind and your liking. They then schedule a 3 day weekend trip keeping your destination a secret. The travel time is minimized and send you to a place you probably never thought of. I think it sounds exciting. I have done a similar thing here in Australia a few years ago called a ‘Mystery Tour’ which cost about $80 Australian and you turned up at the airport at a certain time and the airlines would fly you to a surprise place. Ours happen to be a day in Melbourne. It was so much fun.

 

4. That Easter falls on a different day every year as it is based on the moon phases. I 325CE  Constantine led a council of Christian bishops who then decided that Easter must always be on a Sunday to honor the resurrection of Jesus. Thy also said it would follow but not land on the first full moon  after the spring Equinox. The reason being the date can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25

  1. According to the World Health Organization:  Health benefits of Sunbathing Far outweigh risks. Sun-baking dramatically reduces the risk of several types of cancers, autoimmune diseases, bone diseases, type 1 diabetes, depression and in proper doses can even reduce the risk of melanoma, a meta analysis sun related disease. Study finds a growing number of scientists are concerned that public campaign to protect people from the sun are causing more harm than good. Lack of sun exposure has caused massively more disease than over exposure, ay the authors of a Meta-analysis weighing the pros and cons of soaking in the sun. Excessive sun exposure accounts for less than 0.1% of the total global disease burden according to the World Health Organization.

2. Strawberries were originally cultivated in ancient Rome. Eight strawberries contain more vitamin C than one orange. Strawberries also contain fibre, potassium and antioxidants. It has also been shown to lower blood pressure and improve memory and heart health. So it’s a good reason to partake in copious amounts of strawberries, our favorite fruit.

4. New research suggests that the safe level of sodium intake might be higher than we thought. I have heard many an older person say the reason for their good health is their love of salt. My mother is 99 years old and she has been emptying the salt shaker on her food for years

 

5. Delay breakfast by 90 minutes and having dinner 90 minutes earlier could help you lose weight a new UK study shows.

  • Benefits of a bad mood is not all bad news. A mild bad or sad mood helps us cope with the not so good times. Often its a sign of a time that patience, compassion an understanding is needed from friend and family. That is the research done by Joseph Paul Forgas a professor of psychology at the University of New South Wales in Australia. His research also shows to improve memory and motivate us to try harder and make less judgments. Sadness has long been a trigger for artistic creativity and Bad moods help us be focused and difficult on difficult situations.

  • That the organ that loves red wine the most is the brain. Of course you did. The reasons being that compounds found in red wine protect neurons against cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s . Scientists from the institute of food Science Research in Spain discovered that up to 250mls of red wine daily can prevent brain cells from dying when put under stress and cell death is what causes cognitive decline. In addition to a daily glass of red, the lead researcher backed a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in saturated fats.

RAPAMYCIN – The university of Washington in the US found Rapamycin actually slowed the aging process my improving heart functionality. It is commonly used in organ transplants. RESVERATROL – Naturally found in grapes, blueberries and blackberries is linked to heart health. It was also found in the US that a study also showed a kilojoule restricted diet was more effective.

  • You can die from pooping too hard –  A Norwegian scientist published the first case report on the relationship back in 1968. It is a rare condition called defecation syncope. Since you’re holding air in your lung cavity, you end up compromising your blood flow. As a result, less blood travels to your heart and to your brain, leading to a drop in blood pressure.  If blood flow to the heart is compromised—especially in someone who already has some artery blockages—that can be enough to trigger a heart attack,  People with heart disease or blood pressure disorders, or who take meds for hypertension, are more at risk.  Healthy guys don’t have to worry

1. Anybody that takes Vitamin C should avoid the following Soft drinks: Sunkist, Fanta, Diet Coke, Sprite, & Pepsi Max.
These drinks contain Sodium Benzoate 211 on the label. A chemical reaction between Vitamin C and Sodium Benzoate creates Benzine a highly carcinogenic chemical.
Benzine has the ability to severely damage the DNA in the Mitochondria to the point that it totally inactivates it, knocks it out altogether. 2. Dogs can remember things that happen when they were not paying attention. New evidence suggests that like humans, dogs have episodic memory which lets you remember specific events from your life by absorbing them as they occur, even when they don’t seem relevant. This trait is linked to self-awareness, and scientists used to think it only evolved in primates.

“Dogs probably pay more attention to us than we think and observe us more than we think,”  explained by the lead author Claudia Fugazza, an ethnologist at the University of Eotvos Lorand in Budapest.
