Poem Friday – 04/15/2017 – Vote Trump – Give Him A Go

Donald Trump

Vote Trump – Give Him A Go
Author: Lesley Voth

Where do I start how do I begin
To express my opinion about a race that seems corrupt to win

Yep I’m talking about politics in the US today
It’s a fight, a struggle in a very unseemly way

One has to ask the question do you vote for the same
For the politicians to lead our lives and find others to blame

We keep accepting the bullshit they tell us
Convincing that they will change our lives, they will make it a plus

The Media spewing information that creates animosity and hate
I hear it all the time, unbelievable, nasty words and most take the bait

The public make an opinion on what they read and hear
It’s actually disturbing, unpleasant, hard to the ear

Well, do you want my opinion? Well, probably not
What do I know, probably diddly squat.

We have had generations of politicians and bureaucracy organizing our lives
Why don’t we make a conscious effort to make a change, don’t keep voting from the political archives

Trust me nothing comes for free
If you vote Democrat be sure it will not be

You will be taxed more and it will be more of the same
If they win they can’t make a Republican to blame

The country needs to get its MoJo back
Become the Country it was, manufacturing, getting on track

You cannot do it with freebies, the country cannot afford
Getting the country out of debt, not beholding to others is its greatest reward

Now for this I know I will get some flak
I personally believe Trump is the one who will get it back

Do you ask why, not sure that you care
As some would say ‘Really’ brave of you to dare

He is a business man and I believe he has the country at heart
Will surround himself with not the power hungry, only the smart

He will stand on toes but are we not tired of the lies
From these establishment politicians that are quickly bringing the country to its demise

Of course the establishment if he is elected is running scared
Have their comfortable system disrupted and aired

Hey you might say you are an Aussie what does it matter to you
It matters, believe me, America affects the world that includes you too

I love that Country as well as my own
Elect someone who is going to root for your country like a dog chewing a bone

He may not have the finess and the polish that we have been used to
But I believe him to have the guts given to few

So to finish this poem, give it some thought, to your country you owe
I believe you should Vote for Trump. Give him a go

Some Very Interesting Facts about Russia’s Tax Laws!

I think Politicians here in USA at the moment should learn from this example. Russia has become a very wealthy country, not by taxing the life and incentive out of their people.

Russia Income Taxes and Tax Laws 2012
Last update, May 2012.

• Russia has a uniform rate of tax on the income of individuals. As of 2012 tax in Russia is payable at the rate of 13% for an individual on most income. (non-residents 30%). Russian residents pay 9% on dividend income.

• Non-residents pay 15% on dividend income.

• Exemptions are granted to certain income earners.

• The standard rate of Russia corporate profit tax in 2012 is 20%.

• Companies pay 9% tax on dividend income. Under certain terms dividend income received by companies with holding of 50% or more is entitled to participation exemption.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that has set zero tax rates for agricultural producers on profits.

Poem Friday – 09/21/2012 – It’s Your Future They Are Talking About!

It’s Your Future They Are Talking About!
Author: Lesley Voth

We are right now in the silly season,
Listen, observe, and vote for the right reason.

I am aiming this poem at the young, who can vote,
I am not trying to sway one way or promote.

Think outside of the box; make choices from the head,
Be sure; be comfortable, for the next 4 years, to lie in that bed.

Politicians are traveling all over the place,
Expounding their theories trying to win the Presidential race.

Would you have a lawyer, government employee, or celebrity run your life?
Or would you have a businessman, guide, your children, yourself, and your wife?

Listen to those who live the economy, love America, and add no baloney,
Listen to Varney, Fox News, in the morning, enjoy, he and his guests are no phony.

But it’s your choice as to whom you believe, and where you get your information,
Get over it; ignore the useless slights and digs by each politician’s accusation.

It appears to be normal, but not intelligent, not productive,
It’s media hype, it’s vindictive, it’s nasty, and destructive.

What are the freedoms that they offer you?
Will you be so regulated and taxed, more than you ever knew?

Does he surround himself with a competent crew?
Are his promises shallow or is he of substance, do you believe him to be true?

If you don’t vote then you should never complain,
because others will make your choices, again and again.

You will surely lose the freedoms you are now enjoying,
Your countries entrepreneurial spirit they will be destroying.

You might say… you are an Australian why do you care?
Well, when I am in the America that I love, My Harley and I, your roads we share.

And, because I am old enough to remember America, its pride, and its glory,
its wealth, its strength, its confidence, what a great story.

Nothing is free in this life you will find.
It’s the choice to work, be rewarded, be passionate, play and unwind.

Go vote, be heard, be sure, and don’t doubt,
It’s your future they are talking about.

The Doorbell » Peoples Choice Award Favorite

We have all listened, via the television and newspapers the banter that has been going on between politicians. I for one, and I am sure I am not alone, are finding it very hard to have any respect for any of them. It does not matter what party they belong to. I find it hard to comprehend that we allow these people to run our lives, so easily take away our freedoms, basically give them the power to steal our hard earned money send our young to war.
When I saw this video, it almost shocked me in to understanding what our young generation will be up against in the future. I will not see it as I will probably be ‘pushing up daisies’ but it does not make me feel any less disturbed. We love our children and grandchildren none of us want them to struggle with their existence like it appears that they may.
I personally believe that these children will start standing up for their rights and these politicians will not get away with what they do now and I believe our kids will change the future because they will have to. I believe they will make a greater future for themselves and hopefully without politicians and Big Brother standing over them.

Power Line Blog held a prize competition for $100,000 for whoever can most effectively and creatively dramatize the significance of the federal debt crisis. Any creative product was eligible: videos, songs, paintings, screenplays, Power Point presentations, essays, performance art, or anything else.

Several entries have gotten a lot of attention and a lot of views or listens. But unquestionably, the one that has most gone viral so far is Doorbell.

10 Things We Can Do Without – In My Opinion!

Baking soda in a dish, burning candles and burning bamboo are all natural deodorizers. They also don’t come in non recyclable cans.

Remember what fun it was making cut out dolls or dolls from wooden clothe pegs. Just the pleasure as a child making things out of next to nothing. Using plastic containers to make castles out of or making sand castles. Making a storage shed for your toy cars. Great way to stimulate your child’s imagination.

That becomes very expensive. Make sure you buy shirts are washable and need no ironing. A household hint for smelly garments is to spritz with non flavored vodka. You could have a little martini while waiting for it to dry.

No nutrients, cans not exactly environmentally friendly, can cause obesity. Yes I think we can do without them.

Tempting but really at the end of the day they usually sit at the bottom of your cupboard or draw and maybe used once. We really don’t need them all when a good sharp knife will do.

Yes I know you have heard it before. Challenge yourself for a month. Leave that credit card in the bottom of your drawer. Do not be tempted to use it and see how much better you feel at the end of the month when your credit card payment falls due. If that was not too hard, do it again.

This is my pet peeve for the want of a better word. Try this: If you are having chips, sausages, or any meat that you would normally put Ketchup on, try eating it without it. My argument is that if you eat a sausage without ketchup you would probably eat one or maybe two, with ketchup on the sausage you will eat that one or two MORE! I believe the ingredients in the ketchup stimulates your taste bud and thus you go back for that extra piece of meat or eat more chips than without it.

Just my opinion but you try it. You may end up losing quite a bit of weight.

I believe we are encouraged to wash our hair too much. The media hype of the shampoo companies that we are brainwashed with every day would have us believe that it is as necessary as a shower everyday. More and more women are suffering from thinning hair and I personally believe that hormones are not the only reason, the shampooing that we are encouraged to do every day could be a cause also.
Unless you are working in dusty and dirty conditions I believe your hair should only be washed once or twice a week. Condition it if you must, but I think the shampooing every day we could do without.

I am not a believer in the supposed nutritional health of most cereals. In fact the only cereal I buy is porridge and not the instant kind. It is an easy way to feed the family, quickly in the morning but most of them contain too much sugar and very little vitamin value.

I had to put this one in because they drive my crazy. When you think about it we put our lives in their hands, we acquiesce to their demands, we pay them taxes so they can run the country into the ground. I don’t even know who they are. Do You? Do you really? Most of them have never had their own business, they have always been employed by the Government and had a safe job yet they seem to think they can run our lives and our countries. I dont know what the alternative is (well I do but that is for another day) but there has to be a better one than what is running the world now. We have no freedoms left, except to breath I guess.

Still Think It Is Funny?

This poem was sent to me by an Australian, pointing at Australian Politicians but I think you would agree, that it is pertinent for any county in the world, at this present moment.

When you look at the end result of your salary, you will realize that most of it is paid in Tax.

I think to myself and I include myself in this. How dumb are we? We still go to work and keep paying all the taxes, we don’t complain, well if we do it is usually to a friend or spouse but never publicly, we just let the politicians and bureaucrats keep draining our hard-earned money. We probably only get one days pay a week that we can call our own.

Are we just lazy? Are we scared of authority? Are the Powerful people of the world positioning themselves to make us, the population, so dependent on the powerful few.

What ever it is that is happening, we are letting them do it. The consequences, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I like to think of myself as a free spirit but I think that will be something of the past for the next generation. If they don’t start taking control of their future they wont be allowed even to say those words.

Am I exaggerating, maybe, I don’t think so.

I think it is time I got out into the beautiful sunshine. This is far too serious for a Sunday afternoon.

At first I thought this was funny….. Then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he’s fed.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think..

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He’s good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he’s laid.

When he’s gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.
