Poem From The Heart – Drugs

I saw this on Facebook and really felt the need to share it. I have NEVER seen a more perfect poem, written in the saddest way. 

“I destroy homes, tear families… apart – take your children, and that’s just the start.
I’m more costly than diamonds, more costly than gold – the sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
And if you need me, remember I’m easily found.
I live all around you, in schools and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor, I live down the street, and maybe next door.
My power is awesome – try me you’ll see.
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go, but try me twice, and I’ll own your soul.
When I possess you, you’ll steal and you’ll lie.
You’ll do what you have to just to get high.
The crimes you’ll commit, for my narcotic charms, will be worth the pleasure you’ll feel in your arms.
You’ll lie to your mother; you’ll steal from your dad.
When you see their tears, you should feel sad.
But you’ll forget your morals and how you were raised.
I’ll be your conscience, I’ll teach you my ways.
I take kids from parents, and parents from kids, I turn people from God, and separate from friends.
I’ll take everything from you, your looks and your pride, I’ll be with you always, right by your side.
You’ll give up everything – your family, your home, your friends, your money, then you’ll be alone.
I’ll take and I’ll take, till you have nothing more to give.
When I’m finished with you you’ll be lucky to live.
If you try me be warned this is no game.
If given the chance, I’ll drive you insane.
I’ll ravish your body, I’ll control your mind.
I’ll own you completely; your soul will be mine.
The nightmares I’ll give you while lying in bed.
The voices you’ll hear from inside your head.
The sweats, the shakes, the visions you’ll see.
I want you to know, these are all gifts from me.
But then it’s too late, and you’ll know in your heart, that you are mine, and we shall not part.
You’ll regret that you tried me, they always do.
But you came to me, not I to you.
You knew this would happen.
Many times you were told, but you challenged my power, and chose to be bold.
You could have said no, and just walked away.
If you could live that day over, now what would you say?
I’ll be your master; you will be my slave.
I’ll even go with you, when you go to your grave.
Now that you have met me, what will you do?
Will you try me or not?
Its all up to you.
I can bring you more misery than words can tell.
Come take my hand, let me lead you to hell.”

Did You Know – 06/26/2017

1.Ginger is a long used medicine in many cultures, it is a winter must have because of its anti inflammatory compounds. It is very inexpensive and known to be used for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and the cancer linked to it.

 

2. If you want to befriend a dog this is how you do it. Dogs get high when you rub their ears real good. They have a branch of nerves in their ears that extend to their internal organs and release endorphins when you rub them, sending relaxing impulses through their bodies and going them a natural high.

3. Anxiety can be a direct result of their parents behavior. Though high anxiety is partly genetic, children are more likely to be anxious if their parents openly criticize them, doubt their competence, are controlling, or are emotionally cold – to the pont that researchers analyzing a childs anxiety have been able to predict their mother’s behavior before ever observing it.

4. With a country such as Norway, with so many beautiful areas and scenery, you might think that the access is restricted or commercialized by someone. But that isn’t the caseTrespassing is not so much of a thing in Norway. The country has a law called ‘allemannsretten’ meaning every man’s right or the right to roam that dates back to ancient times and allow you to freely roam and camp on all uncultivated land as long as you show respect for nature and pick up your trash.

5. The phrase ‘Crab mentality’ is used to describe the ‘if I can’t have it, neither can you’ mindset. The metaphors refers to a pot of crabs that could easily get out, but they ensure their own demise by competitively clawing at each other-like spiteful humans trying to bring down those who are more successful by diminishing their importance

2. Green tea compound may improve power of Cancer drugs. It has been revealed that a molecule that is a key ingredient in green tea can be used as a carrier for anti-cancer proteins. While this does not mean drinking green tea will cure cancer, scientists have discovered the molecule, which has the catch name of epigallocatechin -3-0gallate – May improve the effectiveness of anti cancer drugs used to treat breast and stomach cancers.

3. Norway is the best place to grow old. Australia came in 13th which puts Australia behind the US, Japan, New Zealand, and the UK. The report card for Australia shows that the Aussie oldies are highly educated and healthy, but there are too many living in “poverty” and worried about their personal safety.

Well hello Mitchell welcome to this earth
You have chosen parents who will love you with all their worth

Your Brother Sam who is your playmate, your helper and best friend too
He will be there for you through your life time, that is true

There is a mob of angels looking over you, in presence but no sound
Great Grandfather, Uncles and Aunties no longer around

Your Granddad Barry, my brother, who had a heart so pure
He would be sorry to miss you but he will be there in spirit that’s for sure

You are a special little boy with Downs Syndrome that will affect your life
But you have a big family who cares and help protect you from any strife

The strength you will develop physical and mental in you growing ways
Will have your parents saying ‘I cant imagine my life without him in my days’

I believe you are special and a gift to us all
You will always be in Gods hand to soften any pain, any fall

How To Teach Your Parents A Lesson

This is so true. I have witnessed parents texting their kids to see where they are, knowing they are driving. Do what everyone did before mobile phones, phone before they leave, calculate an estimated time of arrival, if they are a half a day late then start to worry.
I guess in most cases it is a set of rules for them and a set of rules for the kids.

A Hug And On The Cheek Kissed

Its a gorgeous morning, the air is fresh, sky has turned from night to sky blue
With a deep breath and a stretch, I am glad to be alive. Arn’t you?

Not for Christopher Lane, he will not see another day
He was shot in the back in a cruel and unforgivable way

Two black boys, they were bored wanted some fun
No thought for him or the hearts they tore apart, a Mothers beautiful son

Mr President, Al Sharpton, and Mr Jackson where are you now?
You made a hero of a boy who injured and attacked a man, thats how

Mr President is it that he was white you cannot visualize him to be your son
Was it your place to comment, no, it was not but too late the damage has been done

A man has been sent into hiding cannot show his face
An excuse for black kids, to kick and punch. These kids show no grace

Yes I am angry as ALL Australians naturally will be
Yes there will be repercussions, Traveller’s less from there you will see

I cannot imagine how this would tear at ones heart, how crushed one would feel
I am sure they will cry for a life time and would find the pain hard to heal

Never met you Christopher but I know you will be missed
A wonderful memory for your Mum and Dad when you walked in the door, a hug and on the cheek kissed

This Picture Is So Powerful – The Toughest Will Think Twice

When I saw this picture, immediately I saw the power in it. I was not a perfect Mother, I am sure there is none that exists, but we do the best we know how or we love by the examples we have been shown. I remember a program on TV one day; I think it may have been on the Oprah Show, about how when you walk in the room a child will look at your face to see what greeting he or she will get. That has always stuck in my mind so I make sure my face says to my grandchildren when I greet them, how I am so happy to see them.

It is not always parents that we can learn from. As a child I was brought up in a very strict, firm environment. We knew our parents loved us but they did not actively show it by loving words or physical affection. The love was shown mainly in the way we were disciplined. I learnt to physically show love to my kids in the way of hugs and telling them I loved them from one of my bosses. She had a souvenir business that I managed part-time and she brought her children to work with her every day right from the time she left the hospital. Those children were smothered with hugs and kisses every day, which was, I guess fascinating and surprising to me. It was beautiful, from then I decided that, that is what I would do with my children.

My son shows the same affection to his children. For me, the big brute still give me a hug and kiss on the forehead at the age of 40 for no reason just to say they love me. To me that is beautiful.

So when I saw this picture it made me sad because I have seen examples of it and sometimes parents don’t even realize what they are doing to a beautiful soul.

Your words have power… use them wisely.

Don’t break the elastic!

I just received this from a good friend of mine in Australia. I don’t know, you have probably seen it but I haven’t. Great words and not just meant for women either, cause guys have elastic in their undies too.
Enjoy because I did, made me think a little too.

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was ‘exciting…’
Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day…..like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.
The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!Maya Angelou said this:

  • ‘I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.’
  • ‘I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.’
  • ‘I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.’
  • ‘I’ve learned that making a ‘living’ is not the same thing as ‘making a life..’
  • ‘I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.’
  • ‘I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back…’
  • ‘I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.’
  • ‘I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one.’
  • ‘I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back…’
  • ‘I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn…’
  • ‘I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’
  • Please send this to five phenomenal women today… and back to me if you think I’m one also.

  • You will boost another woman’s self-esteem
  • If you don’t….the elastic will break and your underpants will fall down around your ankles!
  • Believe me, I didn’t take any chances on MY elastic breaking…..I sent it to a lot of special women I care for…
