1. The Hawaiian Alphabet has only 13 letters. It includes five vowels and eight consonants

2. Smart Bandages – Researchers at Tufts University USA have come up with a brilliant innovative tech. Although only in the clinical trial period, if successful it could put an end to infections and amputations in people who have chronic skin wounds.

This bandage which looks like a clear sticking plaster houses both heat and PH detecting sensors together with a dose of thermally activated medicine. Infected wounds and burns generate higher temperatures and Ph levels that healthy skin, so as soon as the sensors notice anything out of the norm they send a drug releasing microbes straight to the area.
It appears there are many Universities looking into this so I guess it is something that we can look forward to in the future.

3. Sex and Fruit – According to Dr Yen Ying Lim, of the Cognitive aging laboratory at the Florey institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health in Victoria, Australia, having sex on a regular basis and heaps of fruit especially berries and cherries help your memory work at its best. 4. Clench your fist – While we are on the subject of Memory researchers of the Montclair State University in the USA have discovered that making a fist seems to help memory and recall.
Clench your right fist when you want to remember something and clench your left fist later to help recollect the memory.

3. An apple is more efficient than a cup of coffee for keeping people awake in the morning.
The sugar in apples, and the act of chewing, works better than a cup of coffee for keeping people alert. Sugars (generally speaking, carbohydrates) give energy, and quick energy too. During sleep, you consume energy, although in slower pace. Thus in the morning you need to refill your energy reserves. Fruits do that very well without the crash the caffeine will produce.

4. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew marijuana on their plantations
In the early 1600’s, hemp (marijuana) was so vital a resource that laws were passed in America that actually ordered farmers to grow it. Hemp was legal tender in most parts of America for about two hundred years; goods could be purchased with it and it could even be used to pay taxes. In 1850, the U.S. Census counted 8,327 hemp plantations that grew marijuana for cloth, canvas, paper and other goods. Two United States presidents, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson even grew hemp on their plantations. In fact, George Washington is on the record, quoted as saying, “Make the most of the hemp seed and sow it everywhere”

They Should Rot In Hell

They Should Rot in Hell
Author: Lesley Voth

I went to see a movie the other day
Called Oranges and sunshine, disturbing I have to say.

150,000 children as young as three
Were shipped from England to Australia by sea

Stripped from their parents that most were still living
To be said for their own good a great life, the authorities were giving.

These precious innocent young lives given away
To tremendous physical and sexual abuse every day

Did you know? I know I did not
These people who did this should go to hell and rot

Government authorities were responsible for their care
Did they know what was happening to them, would they admit? no they would not dare.

This did not happen centuries ago
No, as late as 1970. Did you know?

If it was not for a dedicated social worker employee
Who unfolded a scandal, was harassed, very brave I am sure you will agree

She travelled between these countries to help mend these broken dreams
Sometimes success, joined with Mothers who believed they were adopted in Britain it seems.

These children, now adults, sad and suffering broken spirits, it would make you cry
Those who scarred these innocent children in the name of ‘God’ – Why, Why, Why.

How could they do this to these such young children who thought the sky was to be blue
Sick in the head I am sure that is true.

As you can see this film disturbed me a lot
I am so pleased it has exposed a cruel and thoughtless plot.

Yes 150,000 of them, as many people in some cities
A story well told, exposing the disgrace of those who in power and who had no pities.

Yes that’s what they were told it was for their own good
Oranges for breakfast and sunshine every day they understood

This is a movie to see or a book you should read
It’s in our time, a need to know, and be aware of indeed
