Kangen Water the silver bullet people are looking for? – Yes According To TV Research đŸ’Ś

TV New Zealand’s produced a story highlighting the benefit of drinking Kangen Water

I know I have been toting the great things about Kangen Water for some time  and now the TV show “7 Sharp” has done a show on just that. They are interviewing those who have used these fantastic machines and the benefits they have got from it and the improvement they have had with their ailments such as Arthritis, Menopause, weight, and general fitness and Wellbeing.

This is well worth watching as it maybe just the  thing to get you over the edge in a decision to purchase a Kangen Water machine. It does not matter what part of the world you live in they will be available.

Coffee Doesn’t Actually Count Toward Your Daily Water Intake

My husband is of the belief that his cups of coffee per day also count as his eight cup requirement for the day but I beg to differ and this article confirms it. You still need to consume 8 – 10 glasses of water per day for proper hydration. Coffee of course has other benefits so drink up that aromatic kick ass pleasurable moment.

According to Courtney Schuchmann, MS, RD, LDN,” coffee may actually have a dehydrating effect on our bodies if we don’t consume enough water in addition to it. Schuchmann does not recommend cutting coffee out of our daily routine since it has many possible health benefits such as “reduced risk of colorectal cancer, improved bowel movements, and improved liver regeneration for those with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH).” She suggests we continue with our daily coffee consumption “since studies have found that individuals who drink more coffee per day typically have lower incidence of the above mentioned diseases,” but to ensure that if our goal is to drink eight to 10 cups of water a day, that our coffee intake is in addition to that.”

Dr. Susan Lark on Kangen WaterÂŽ
“Drinking four to six glasses of alkaline water a day will help to neutralize over acidity and over time will help to restore your buffering ability. Alkaline water should be used when conditions of over acidity develop, such as cold, flu or bronchitis. Like vitamins C, E and Beta Carotene, alkaline water acts as an antioxidant because of its excess supply of free electrons. This can help the body against the development of heart disease, strokes, immune dysfunctions, and other common ailments.”

“The benefits of the alkaline water created through electrolysis far exceed just its ability to gently raise the pH of the cells and tissues of the body and to neutralize acids. Because the alkaline water has gained a significant number of free electrons through the electrolysis process, it is able to donate these electrons to active oxygen free radicals in the body, thereby becoming a super antioxidant. By donating its excess free electrons, alkaline water is able to block the oxidation of normal tissue by free oxygen radicals.”

Dr. Susan Lark is one of the foremost authorities in the fields of clinical nutrition and preventive medicine. A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, she has served on the clinical faculty of Stanford University Medical School, and taught in their Division of Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Lark is a distinguished clinician, author, lecturer and innovative product developer. Through her extensive clinical experience, she has been an innovator in the use of self-care treatments such as diet, nutrition, exercise and stress management techniques in the field of women’s health, and has lectured extensively throughout the United States on topics in preventive medicine. She is the author of 13 best-selling books on women’s health including The Chemistry of Success.
Coffee may actually be hydrating, according to Dr. Luiza Petre, a board-certified cardiologist. “It seems hydration is not offset by the diuretic effect of coffee. Our body quickly compensates for the caffeine, so coffee has an overall hydrating effect.” However, she does not recommend making coffee our only source of hydration and adds that that we should consume no more than three to four cups (and no more than 400 mg of caffeine) a day.
If we’re pouring in sugary additives or full-fat milk, our coffee may not be as healthy or hydrating. The best way to drink your coffee is black, and if that’s too much to handle, try adding some cinnamon or a touch of honey for added sweetness.

So the end story is you still need to drink 8 – 10 glasses of water as well as your coffee and of course I recommend Kangen Water especially for  that  extra boost to the taste.  You will notice the difference between tap water and Kangen water.

As I am in New Zealand at the moment I thought you may like to know things you did not know about New Zealand

1. The longest place name in the world is Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu, a hill in Hawke’s Bay.

2. No part of the country is more than 128km (79 miles) from the sea.

3. Only 5% of NZ’s population is human the rest are animals.

4. More people die in New Zealand each year playing lawn bowls than scuba diving.

5. New Zealand is similar in size to the UK, but only has a population of about 4 million (compared to 63 million in the UK).

6. Gisborne airport has train tracks running across the middle of the runway. Quite often, trains and planes have to stop until one moves out-of-the-way.

Refund for Splurge Item Before Sale!

Check prices after you buy.
Retailers often will refund the difference if a splurge item you bought goes on sale shortly after your purchase.

Source

In the USA, sure retailers are willing and often will pleasantly do this. Australia and New Zealand Mmmmm not so much. They are not known for their happy faces when you return goods or a comparison price or even faulty goods.
In my opinion that is stupid actually because good service will always bring you back. I am sure you agree.

Screen Shot 2016-08-21 at 1.57.58 PM

Tongariro at Makotuku Bed and Breakfast

If you are about to travel to New Zealand this bed and breakfast is a must.
It is owned by my dear friend Julie and her husband. It is one of the most beautiful areas in New Zealand. Julie also is the most hospitable person I know and will make you extremely welcome.
Right below Mt Ruapahu and exquisite picture as you can see from above which is taken from her lounge room.

If you are a skier, snowboarder, like cycling on the amazing cycle tracks in the area or just traveling through this is a perfect place to stay.
It’s a great place to stay summer or winter.

At long last she now has a Facebook page which gives you an idea of the area and all you can do plus all the contact information.

Go check it out. If you are going that way it will be the best stop you will make.
I know as I have stayed there many times.

Just click on the pictures to go to the Facebook page

Air New Zealand Safety Video – Sensational

They have done it again. I am sure it would attract the attention of its passengers. Most airline safety video’s are rather mundane and been repeated over and over that most passengers have their eyes fixed on their computers and never watch it. This safety video I am sure will not only inform them but be entertaining as well. Good One Air New Zealand
