I think that would be a whole lot of red wine so maybe the tablets would be the better alternative otherwise you would end up intoxicated every day and I am not sure if your memory would be working very well the next day.

Poem Friday – 08/23/2013 – A hug And On The Cheek Kissed

Christopher Lane

A Hug And On The Cheek Kissed
Author Lesley Voth

Its a gorgeous morning, the air is fresh, sky has turned from night to sky blue
With a deep breath and a stretch, I am glad to be alive. Arn’t you?

Not for Christopher Lane, he will not see another day
He was shot in the back in a cruel and unforgivable way

Two black boys, they were bored wanted some fun
No thought for him or the hearts they tore apart, a Mothers beautiful son

Mr President, Al Sharpton, and Mr Jackson where are you now?
You made a hero of a boy who injured and attacked a man, thats how

Mr President is it that he was white you cannot visualize him to be your son
Was it your place to comment, no, it was not but too late the damage has been done

A man has been sent into hiding cannot show his face
An excuse for black kids, to kick and punch. These kids show no grace

Yes I am angry as ALL Australians naturally will be
Yes there will be repercussions, Traveller’s less from there you will see

I cannot imagine how this would tear at ones heart, how crushed one would feel
I am sure they will cry for a life time and would find the pain hard to heal

Never met you Christopher but I know you will be missed
A wonderful memory for your Mum and Dad when you walked in the door, a hug and on the cheek kissed

Nature Girl

This was sent to me and it made me remember my time with my own Grandkids when they were that age. I used to take them for a ‘Nanna walk’ to the beach. We would go to the coffee shop afterwards meet my friends and have our morning cappuccino and my Grandkids would have what they would call ‘babychino’s’ (warm milk and froth sprinkled with chocolate and maybe a marshmallow). I loved it and a great memory for me but they were so small they probably don’t remember it at all.

I take my daughter outside somewhere in “nature” almost every single day. She sits and quietly takes in everywhere I bring her. I couldn’t be more proud. (via imgur.com)

4. It appears that cuddling is not always an act of for-play. According to the researchers at Michigan University,  only one in every six cuddles lead to sex. It fact it seems that most couples use a cuddle to start a conversation about their day. But on the other hand there study showed that those that cuddle a lot have a better sex life. The couch, armchair and bed seems to be the most popular spots.

5. Researchers for the ‘All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ have developed a patch that will destroy basal cell carcinomas in just three tree hour outpatient treatments over the course of a week in 80% of the patients treated. The patch apparently contains  a radioactive substance called isotope phosphorus – 32 which targets the lesions but not harming deeper tissue. Bad news is it is not on the market yet. The usual tests have to be done by the appropriate departments to confirm its safety. Good news though I would say.

Did You Know – 08/20/2012

This is ‘Good To Know’ information.

Now this is information I do need. According to research from the university of Wisconsin at Madison, next time you are hunting for your keys or that book or any object, say the word out loud. The reason for this is that it helps engage more brain regions, which help boost the memory and hopefully find what you are looking for.

While the Chinese invented gunpowder, they were not the first to develop firearms. Sam Colt invented the
“revolving pistol.” Therefore, all revolvers are correctly called pistols

“The good people in this world are very far from being satisfied with each other and my arms are the best peacemaker.” ~ Samuel Colt (1852)
Ironically, when Samuel Colt said those words almost 160 years ago, the Colt .45 Single Action Army (SAA) revolving cylinder handgun, made famous on the American frontier and the Old West as the Peacemaker, had not yet been invented. Still, he was well on his way to revolutionizing gun manufacturing in the United States.. Source

How Beautiful is This?

You Know at the end of the day ‘Us’ Females, for the want of a better description, are romantics. When I saw this, I thought how beautiful and how blessed that Woman was that her husband cherished her so much that he spent the time and effort to do this in her memory. I love it and I wish for every Woman in this world a man in her life to love her the way this man did her.
I think mine does cause he sent this email to me. I guess I won’t know till I kick the bucket.

A heart-shaped meadow, planted 15 years ago by a farmer as a tribute to his late wife, can be seen in South Gloucestershire, England. He used 6,000 oak trees across a six-acre field, with the heart pointing in the direction of her childhood home.
