1. When women gossip, their levels of the ‘Love Hormone’ oxytocin go up. This is according to researchers from the University of Pavia in Italy. This makes the gossipers feel closer to each other regardless of their mood or personality type. Another way of getting the Oxytocin shot is by giving your friend a hug. Now that is more positive I am thinking.

4. A few times each year, thousands of fish meet up to for one giant ‘tuna tornado’ because they do most of their breeding outside their bodies. The tuna gather themselves into a living tornado of reproduction, which acts as a moving wall that encircles a protected space where they can release a large volume of egg and sperm all at once .

5. Some farmers feed their cows Skittles. The reason being candy, chocolate, cereal or molasses is a cheap substitute for corn. The sugar reportedly helps cows with digestion,, increase milk production and fattens up the beef cattle. Mars, inc sells their unused skittles to companies that melt them down and add them to livestock feed which is cheaper to buy than corn as corn at times is to high a price to be economical.

3. Vitamin D is unusual because it is the only vitamin that can be synthesized in the body. Sunlight is the main source of Vitamin D, though sunscreen lotions with high SPF can prevent vitamin D formation. Vitamin D is also the only vitamin that is a hormone.

4. Insects such as termites and ants provide 10% of the protein consumed worldwide. Where insects are an integral part of a diet, they contribute as much as 40% of protein.       In the United States, it is estimated that every adult unconsciously consumes one pound of insects each year due to garden produce, poor restaurant and home hygiene, and commercial foods for which the USDA allows a certain amount of insect fragments. Peanut butter, for example, is allowed to have 30 insect fragments per 100 grams.

Does Your Body lack Magnesium – Check It Out

According to research our bodies for most of us,  lack of magnesium.  There are many symptoms that will identify a lack of.

Number one: Because of what we spray on food it destroys the magnesium in our body.

Number two We’re increasingly stressed out. We’re running our engines on high to keep up with life and it’s draining us. Stress hormone production requires high levels of magnesium and stressful experiences lead to depletion of magnesium stores.
Number three We’re eating more sugar than ever. For every molecule of sugar we consume, our bodies use 54 molecules of magnesium to process it.
Fourth Low levels in the soil and modern farming techniques deplete stores of magnesium. lastly Magnesium is depleted by many pharmaceutical drugs and estrogen compounds such as oral contraceptives, antibiotics, cortisone, prednisone, and blood pressure medications (“Drug-induced nutrient depletion handbook,” Pelton, 2001). Diuretics in coffee and tea (caffeine) also raise excretion levels. Oh and by the way – flouride competes for absorption with magnesium!

The best way to increase your magnesium naturally you need to consume the following:-

1. Eat magnesium rich foods grown on organic soil.

2. Take ionic magnesium drops. This is my new favorite method, which I’ve learned from The Magnesium Miracle.

3. Apply magnesium oil to your skin! This is the second best way to raise your levels.

4. Soak in epsom salt baths. This will provide not only magnesium, but sulfur for your liver as well.

Oxytocin “The Love Hormone”

Oxytocin, according to the American Psychological Association, appears to trigger physical and psychological behaviour of both Men and Women.
This hormone originates in the brain and produced by the hypothalamus, transfers to the pituitary gland and then off to the bloodstream. The oxytocin receptors are found on the cells throughout the body.

The levels of Oxytocin are normally higher when the body is subject to positive thoughts and stimulation. It has been observed oxytocin has a role in many behaviours including orgasm, social recognition, pair bonding and maternal behaviours. Hence the name “Love Hormone”. (Wikipedia)

This love hormone has immense sway over the way we feel when we make love, how we give birth, and how successful we are at breastfeeding and connect to the new-born.

Oxytocin can be released by stimulation of senses such as touch and warmth, Ingestion of  enjoyable food, pleasant sound and light. Any form of positive environment will stimulate oxytocin and lead to a well balanced and healthy life.

Of all the hormones in the body, oxytocin probably gives us the greatest happiness in life. The prototype for the effect of this “hormone of love” has to be the amazing love a mother has for her baby. Oxytocin may in fact be an important influence on who we become later in life. Messing with it could be messing with the very blueprint of life!

The bad news
Oxytocin is under threat in our society and with this threat come serious consequences. Fear and stress are probably two of the greatest threats to the hormone. Michel Odent, the famous French obstetrician, writes in his book The Scientification of Love that the price the human race has paid for civilisation is problems with low sex drive, difficult childbirth and difficulties breastfeeding, and post natal depression.

Teresa McGuinness, MD, PhD, is a UCSF clinical psychiatry faculty member and co-author of the paper on oxytocin, In the study it was found that because oxytocin is released in men and women during sexual orgasm, it may be involved in adult bonding.

Women whose oxytocin levels rose in response to massage and remembering a positive relationship reported having little difficulty setting appropriate boundaries, being alone, and trying too hard to please others.

Women whose oxytocin levels fell in response to remembering a negative emotional relationship reported greater problems with experiencing anxiety in close relationships.

So from what I read here , guys say they don’t understand women and ‘don’t know what women want’, well here is your answer – more oxytocin. A recipe for a satisfied woman.
