Poem Friday – What Ever You Do Don’t Let Texas Be Blue

I have not done a Poem Friday in some time but I needed something like what is going on in this Country to get me off my posteria and write, because I can. Its about ” Seeing something and saying something.”

The Great State Of Texas proudly blood Red

Economically wealthy and successful and the best is ahead

Proud of their President, their Flag and the American Flag to

Proud of their history, the heritage, there hospitality genuine and true

They love and show great respect for their vets and military men

For those who fought for USA they will always stand up and defend

I have always been so impressed when they take time to shake their hand and  personally comend

I know the wealth and beauty of this State is the envy of many

The door should be open to those who share this pride not just any

Those from the States  and cities that are blue

Stay there, clean up their mess,  get your politicians to work as they should do

They appear to be unhappy, mean, and vicious it seems

It appears that they have lost their  spirit and their American Dreams

The blues cause unrest, bringing the ‘Reds’ down in their sights

This State is a great state with no need for anti establishment fights

It does not need the face covered Antifas, climate changers, destroying property into the nights

Freedom of speech as it should be  is a Texans right

Texas they have the right constitutionally to bear Arms

They need Guns to protect themselves, their land and their Farms

So Blues if you come to Texas to stay

You need to think about changing to red and live the Texan way

I am neither a Republican or Democrat in fact I  live in Australia that is true

I stay in Texas for the months that they allow and leave when due

But I have to say be careful  and “What ever you do don’t let Texas be Blue”

Go Vote for your President you need him and he needs you

The Best Movie Seen in Years – ‘The Greatest Showman’

Did my Friday movie thing and went to see  ” The Greatest showman”  10 out of 10 for everything music, story, talent. It was just an amazingly beautiful story. It was the story of P.T. Barnum. For those who don’t know P.T. Barnum, he was a visionary who became a world-wide sensation.  American showman P. T. Barnum becomes the founder of the circus that will become the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Wikipedia for more of the history of the story)

It’s a movie that if you are pondering about what to do after Christmas dinner, take the whole family including Dad and go see this movie. You will love it.

Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, michelle Williams. in fact all the cast was sensational. The songs all through the show gave me goose bumps and at time tears and so entertained. Would go see it again in fact I probably will. Go See it – just do it – Sensational movie  – feeling a bit down? go see it, you can’t possibly feel the blues after watching it. Ok enough.

Did You Know – 04/11/2016

main-qimg-c27a6f8eb1a67ab75f216813a7541f43

1.. The Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida is the world’s fourth largest building by volume. Completed in 1966, the VAB also holds the record of the largest one-story building in the world and the tallest building outside an urban center in the United States.
The VAB is so large, in fact, that it has its own weather. On humid days, rain clouds can form below the ceiling, requiring about 10,000 tons of air conditioning equipment to control the moisture. With this setup, the total volume of air in the building can be replaced in only one hour.

2. When a male bee climaxes, their testicles explode then they die.
Strange as it is, this actually makes evolutionary sense: the snapped-off penis acts as a genital plug to prevent other drones from fertilizing the queen. Isn’t nature amazing!

3. The blue whale is a massive creature and is the largest living animal in the world; even larger than most dinosaurs.
The largest of the blue whales can measure in at over 100 ft in length and can weigh in excess of 180 tons at its largest.
In fact everything about the blue whale is large including its, arteries and its heart.
On average most blue whales grow to be around 70 – 90 ft in length, weigh around 100 – 150 tons.
In order to get blood through the blue whales large body it has massive arteries, which pump blood through the heart and into its major vital organs.
The arteries are so large in fact that a full size human could swim through them.
The aorta alone measures in at over 9 inches!
The blue whales heart can weigh in excess of 1,300 lbs.
In terms of size the blue whales heart is about the size of a small car.
At a rate of 8 – 10 beats per minute the blue whale’s heartbeat can be heard from over 2 miles away.

4. Hydrogen is a light, odorless gas, which, given enough time, turns into people.
Interesting concept: – Edward R. Harrison, a cosmologist at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He writes in the Quarterly Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society that yes, our universe may well have been created by intelligent beings in another universe. That assertion does nothing to explain how the whole thing began. It just moves the question back a step: Where did the universe inhabited by those intelligent beings come from? But Harrison’s idea would explain some very strange things about our universe, such as how exactly right for life it is.

The history of the Universe has been summed up thusly: “Hydrogen is a light, odorless gas, which, given enough time, turns into people.” When our universe began, it consisted mostly of hydrogen. That gas condensed into galaxies of stars, in whose cores heat and pressure fused atoms into heavier elements, including those necessary for life. Some of those stars exploded, spewing the heavier elements out into space. New stars and planets formed, including our own. On one of those planets, life appeared. Harrison contends that none of it could have happened unless all the physical constants (the speed of light, the charge and mass of the electron, and similar numbers) were just right. Reviewing the work of a long line of cosmologists, Harrison sums up what has come to be known as the Anthropic Principle: the Universe is the way it is because we exist. He explains: “In a universe containing luminous stars and chemical elements essential for the existence of organic life, the physical constants are necessarily precisely adjusted (or finely tuned). Slight deviations from the observed values could result in a starless and lifeless universe.”

5. Humans rode bareback or mounted horses with a simple blanket after they first domesticated the animals, thousands of years after the dawn of agriculture. The leather saddle first straddled a horse’s back in China perhaps as far back as the third century B.C. But the saddle was only one step toward transforming the use of cavalry as a means of waging war. Climbing onto a horse while bearing weapons had long presented its own precarious hazards. Cambyses II, a Persian king in the sixth century B.C., died after stabbing himself as he vaulted onto a horse.
The stirrup – such an important innovation was that it allowed the rider immensely greater control in horsemanship: rider and animal became almost extensions of each other. It was possible to shoot arrows accurately while the horse dashed ahead at full gallop. A cavalryman could brace himself in the saddle and, with a lance positioned under his arm, use the tremendous force of the charging horse to strike a stunned enemy. The horse’s sheer mass and quickness became an implement of the cavalry’s weaponry—and a powerful intimidation factor.

Did You Know – These Five Things About Superman – 06/10/2013

2824589-13260-gamesrocks-superman

Superman made his comic debut 75 years ago this month – that being June 2013.  This is some of Supermans history as exposed by Larry Tye the author of Superman:  The High-Flying History of Americas’s Most Enduring Hero.

1. He has a Social Security number –In a 1966 issue of Action Comics, editors revealed that Clark Kent’s SSN is 092-09-6616

That number actually belonged to a flesh and blood New Yorker, Giobatta Baiocchi, who had died a year earlier ( no one knows why his number was picked)

2. He does not just fight fictional villains like Lex Luthor and Mr. Mxyzptik. –  In a 1940 story commissioned for LOOK magazine, Superman hauled Hitler and Stalin before a league of Nations war crimes tribunal and battled white hooded Ku Klux Klansmen in a 1946 radio serial. Oddest of all in 1978 he boxed Muhammad Ali  – and lost.

3. He failed his Army physical during World War 11 – You may ask why? He inadvertently read an eye chart in the adjoining room with his X-Ray vision.

4. He’s probably Jewish. – Superman creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel gave plenty of clues from Superman’s Kryptonian name Kal-El (Hebrew for “vessel of God”), to his origin story straight out of Exodus (as with Moses, his parent launched him to safety and adoption by gentiles, Martha and Jonathan Kent).

5. His middle name – Revealed in the comics in 1997 – is Joseph

What Is Love?

“Love is a friendship set to Music”

~ E. Joseph Cossman

What is love?
Author « Lesley Voth

Love is a feeling that tingles inside
It mirrors a glow, a beautiful ride

Love comes in many forms
It shadows imperfections and raging storms

It makes your whole being excited and shiver
You think it would last forever like a long wide running river

It can you know, last an eternity
I have seen it with my eyes with absolute certainty

Love is a connection that should be real and very true
Because if  it is, you are blessed, life will never be lonely for you

Two people some times a new beginning for many years
A place to go to comfort and soften your tears

So what is love?
It is something that holds you, touches you like a perfect fitting glove.

Where does it come from, the attraction a mystery
I don’t know, but its been around a long time, has a long long history
