Poem From The Heart – Drugs

Carrie Wright

October 12, 2015 ·

I saw this on Facebook and really felt the need to share it. I have NEVER seen a more perfect poem, written in the saddest way.

“I destroy homes, tear families… apart – take your children, and that’s just the start.
I’m more costly than diamonds, more costly than gold – the sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
And if you need me, remember I’m easily found.
I live all around you, in schools and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor, I live down the street, and maybe next door.
My power is awesome – try me you’ll see.
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go, but try me twice, and I’ll own your soul.
When I possess you, you’ll steal and you’ll lie.
You’ll do what you have to just to get high.
The crimes you’ll commit, for my narcotic charms, will be worth the pleasure you’ll feel in your arms.
You’ll lie to your mother; you’ll steal from your dad.
When you see their tears, you should feel sad.
But you’ll forget your morals and how you were raised.
I’ll be your conscience, I’ll teach you my ways.
I take kids from parents, and parents from kids, I turn people from God, and separate from friends.
I’ll take everything from you, your looks and your pride, I’ll be with you always, right by your side.
You’ll give up everything – your family, your home, your friends, your money, then you’ll be alone.
I’ll take and I’ll take, till you have nothing more to give.
When I’m finished with you you’ll be lucky to live.
If you try me be warned this is no game.
If given the chance, I’ll drive you insane.
I’ll ravish your body, I’ll control your mind.
I’ll own you completely; your soul will be mine.
The nightmares I’ll give you while lying in bed.
The voices you’ll hear from inside your head.
The sweats, the shakes, the visions you’ll see.
I want you to know, these are all gifts from me.
But then it’s too late, and you’ll know in your heart, that you are mine, and we shall not part.
You’ll regret that you tried me, they always do.
But you came to me, not I to you.
You knew this would happen.
Many times you were told, but you challenged my power, and chose to be bold.
You could have said no, and just walked away.
If you could live that day over, now what would you say?
I’ll be your master; you will be my slave.
I’ll even go with you, when you go to your grave.
Now that you have met me, what will you do?
Will you try me or not?
Its all up to you.
I can bring you more misery than words can tell.
Come take my hand, let me lead you to hell.”

Poem Friday – You Just Don’t Know

It was Sunday,  sitting at the hotel, cigar and drink in hand
I said to David how quiet, peaceful, and beautiful this corner of the land
First of the month of October, nothing unusual, last day, tomorrow we leave
I could not have imagined the hours ahead, I could never have perceived
Played the poker machines had a good win, ‘til 11:30 or there about
Went back to the room and straight to bed as there was an early checkout
Little did I realize what was happening not far away
So unaware, asleep then, to wake up to the news, to my dismay
A crazy shooter, many injured, so many lives lost
Never to return home, so much pain for loved ones, dreams gone, what a cost.
It is a good thing that we don’t know what is ahead, nothing planned
They would not be there, singing, laughing, listening to music of the band
58 more Angels in heaven as  life left their bodies as they fell
One, you can be sure, that shooter, he is in Hell
We must learn from this… like butterflies spread your wings,  just go with the flow
Anything can happen in a moment to end your life, your dreams,  you just don’t know

Sometimes Someone Sends You Something That So Makes Sense

My Friend sent me this today via Facebook and I thought to myself “How True” and that they are words for thought.

On the other hand I am so glad that I am still wishing to be thinner, have a new car, and of course more money. We can never have too much of that.

I have a dear friend that is fighting ovarian cancer at the moment and has been to ‘Hell and Back’. I believe she is going to make it but I am not sure that she does as she is now on her 3rd round of that poisonous Sh…. called Chemo. But she is crawling her way back and I believe her to be tougher than she thinks.

Love you Cindy

They Should Rot In Hell

They Should Rot in Hell
Author: Lesley Voth

I went to see a movie the other day
Called Oranges and sunshine, disturbing I have to say.

150,000 children as young as three
Were shipped from England to Australia by sea

Stripped from their parents that most were still living
To be said for their own good a great life, the authorities were giving.

These precious innocent young lives given away
To tremendous physical and sexual abuse every day

Did you know? I know I did not
These people who did this should go to hell and rot

Government authorities were responsible for their care
Did they know what was happening to them, would they admit? no they would not dare.

This did not happen centuries ago
No, as late as 1970. Did you know?

If it was not for a dedicated social worker employee
Who unfolded a scandal, was harassed, very brave I am sure you will agree

She travelled between these countries to help mend these broken dreams
Sometimes success, joined with Mothers who believed they were adopted in Britain it seems.

These children, now adults, sad and suffering broken spirits, it would make you cry
Those who scarred these innocent children in the name of ‘God’ – Why, Why, Why.

How could they do this to these such young children who thought the sky was to be blue
Sick in the head I am sure that is true.

As you can see this film disturbed me a lot
I am so pleased it has exposed a cruel and thoughtless plot.

Yes 150,000 of them, as many people in some cities
A story well told, exposing the disgrace of those who in power and who had no pities.

Yes that’s what they were told it was for their own good
Oranges for breakfast and sunshine every day they understood

This is a movie to see or a book you should read
It’s in our time, a need to know, and be aware of indeed

The Descent Into Hell » Credit Card Debt

The statistics say there are two credit cards for every person in The United States. I guess that means it is twice the Hell!

I cannot emphasize more, how essential it is that all families reduce their credit card debt. Take a look at the follow infographic and understand that credit card debt is the demise of your financial security.

It is not productive to be negative about your financial future. If you have credit card debt be positive about paying it down to ZERO. Start believing you can do it.

This Infographic is an example of what happens when you take the deep dive into credit card debt.
