Every Woman should Know – How To Buy The Best Bra For You

This is something I really do have a problem with. Finding someone who Knows how to measure you properly. It  is a tough one. Every retailer that sells Bras should make sure they have an expert on board to do this job. The Cost of a good Bra requires the help of someone who knows what they are doing.  That’s my opinion anyway. I don’t know how many bras I have bought and never worn as I hate the fit or the look of them. It is a plus for the second-hand clothing stores as that is where they go. I do not waste space with an ugly uncomfortable bra.

A study conducted by the Swiss lingerie company Triumph, approximately 64 percent of women are wearing the wrong bra size.

Here is some helpful advice on this matter.

  1. Choose Support Over Comfort

Expert and owner of Linda’s Bra Salons Linda Becker said it’s important to choose support over perceived comfort when shopping for bras. Bra support should come from the band, not the straps. They should fit snuggly across your back, not tight so you have the roll over look.

2.  Never Assume Your Size, Even When Measured

Reevaluate your size at least once a year. Remember your body changes every year. Cup and band sizes aren’t the same across all brands. Don’t worry about the size, care about how it feels and fits. The perfect fit is really about trial and error until you find the best that suits you. A good consultant will help you do that.

3.  Buy New Bras Every Nine Months — At Least

According to Glamour’s Executive Fashion Editor Suze Yalof Schwartz. We should be replacing our bras every nine months. If you keep them for longer, Schwartz says they’ll lose their elasticity, and therefore their effectiveness.

4.  The Hooks Are There For A Reason

Always try on your bra with the least tight band setting. Remember you will use the rest of the hook settings as the bra ages and loses its stretch.

5. Go For The Best Cup Shape For Your Body

New York-based style blogger and YouTuber Jalisa reminded like in clothing there are different Bra cuts and breast shapes. A Demi works great for the small busted girl where a full coverage bra suits the larger busted figures as they do not need the padding. Again it is trial and error and a patient polite consultant.

6. Scrutinize The Fit

To know what to look for in a well-fitting bra is so important.  Check that the bra cups lie smooth with no wrinkles, that the center of the bra lies flat against the breast bone, and that the back of the bra is even with the front (instead of hiking up in the middle). Does not do these 3 things then keep looking and trying on.

7.  It Pays To Pay More

Higher quality the bra materials, the better the bra will be at supporting us. That is going to mean you are going to have to pay more.  Remember a high quality bra is going to be well constructed and fit better than the cheaper ones. Remember they are going to have to support the motion and the weight of those ‘Boobies’. TJ’s and Marshall’s have been suggested for purchasing high quality brands. Be prepared to be spending the day shopping for the perfect bra and you will never regret it. It will make all the difference to the look of your outfit and your shape.

vintage + Free shipping

1434310690225-P-2733555

I have just bought this. This dress cost $18.90 and free shipping

I have just come across this website which has some fantastic clothing. Well I think it has.
If you notice I have two adverts on the side of my main page. I thought I would share these sites as I believe it has some thing for everyone and good value.

The sites  are ‘Zaful and ‘Rose Gal’

I notice the company will send to anywhere in the world in any currency which is brilliant. How many times do we see something we like and we are unable to get it as it does not deal in your currency.

My suggestion is though check out the size chart as they are a small fit. It is at the bottom of the page of  each  outfit so be sure to measure yourself.

Gluten Free Pasta Salad

I have been inclined towards eating Gluten Free Food lately . I am not fanatical about it I just seem to feel better after eating gluten free bread than wheat bread. So I eat gluten free when I find the palatable stuff. Some of it, I deem not fit to eat by any means. I believe all food should be enjoyable even if some of it is not healthy. Everything in moderation is my moto.
Enjoy!

Wishing You A Merry Christmas

product_89916_1_orig

Well what happened to this year
Went so fast, another year older I fear

2013 has seen so many countries at War, deaths and not much peace
We can pray for the young ones but history shows they never cease

But on a happier note Britain has a new prince
We saw a country and many people joyous like we have not seen since

2014 we should all make it a year where we consider getting fit
At least begin, start out slow, start out doing just a little bit

Make it a year where we become more aware
All the things that surround us, stop, look around, with a concentrated stare

Listen to those who have something important for them, to say
Because your consideration and care could save a life that day

Observe that they maybe suffering some sort of disturbed sadness
They may be different and considered by some suffering from madness

This is a wonderful time to celebrate and be with friends and relations
To enjoy each other, Bring in the New Year together with all nations

For me I wish you all plenty of cheer and goodwill
Enjoy each moment because you and I know time will not stand still

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year

The Great New Zealand Trek

In 2006 the Great New Zealand Trek began from Cape Reinga as an annual week long trek designed to give people the opportunity to walk, horse ride or mountain bike the length of the country piece by piece.

My brother Frank just completed a 245 kilometer (152 miles) trek about 2 weeks ago. The trek is for a week and participants hike 35kms (22 miles) a day. He said it was extremely challenging, but a wonderful experience. I was hoping there was some photo’s on the site, but apparently they are not on the site yet.

Here are some photo’s taken of Frank on and after a days walk.

After!

recouperated

My brother Frank, who is now 70, I would not call him fit, but obviously fit enough, said some of the hills rose from 100 meters (328 feet) above sea level to 500 meters (1,640 feet), like straight up. He said he has never felt so tired in his lifetime, but exilerated. He said it was a great experience. Frank said he will be doing it again next year.

Pixie, Frank’s wife, went on the Trek, but as a volunteer. Their group made sure all the tents were up and ready for the trekkers arrival and in the morning took them down and packed them. Pixie said it was so much fun, and had a great time. So if you didn’t want to trek you could volunteer and at the same time get to see some beautiful country side.

You can do this trek anyway you want to, on horse, bicycle, walk, or run; however, you want to do it. My brother chose to walk. They also have a shuttle bus available for those who maybe only want to walk part of the way.

I thought I would make a post of this trek because if anyone has the opportunity to go to NZ to do this, I think it would be an experience of a lifetime, plus at the same time you are assisting a charity.

I am not sure of all the costs, but you can find all the information on the website. The Great New Zealand Trek
