Did You Know – 11/28/2016

  1. Judean Date Palm was miraculously brought back to life following the chance discovery of seeds in the 2,000-year-old ruins of Masada, the male date palm tree named Methuselah, the only one of his kind, has become a father.

For thousands of years, the date palm was a staple crop in the Kingdom of Judea, as it was a source of food, shelter and shade.  Thick forests of the palms towering up to 80 feet and spreading for 7 miles covered the Jordan River valley from the Sea of Galilee in the north to the shores of the Dead Sea in the south.

So valued was the tree that it became a recognized as a symbol of good fortune in Judea.  It is chronicled in the Bible, Quran and ancient literature for its diverse powers, from an aphrodisiac to a contraceptive, and as a cure for a wide range of diseases including cancer, malaria and toothache.

2. Raynaud’s disease is a condition that turns your fingers white or blue when you are cold. Your body overreact to cold temperatures and restricts blood flow to the extremities. Apparently smaller arteries that supply blood to your skin narrow, limiting blood circulation to affected areas

3. According to studies too much exercise is not healthy. Your body’s Homeostasis (regulators that keep the composition of the extracellular fluids constant) collapses when you over do exercise. Moderation is important. Stress on the body produces large amounts of free radicals that causes stress like sore or strained muscles. So overdoing exercise has no health benefits.  Source: The Enzyme Factor. (Excellent book – worth getting)

4. Water the giver of life – Our bodies are composed of nearly 90 percent waters using pure water for drinking and bathing is essential to our health. More than 700 pollutants most of them carcinogens often found in drinking water from municipal sources and rural wells. The exposure to our skin is significant and goes unrecognized as a health threat . Filtered water is the safest way to go. It can be a little pricy but it is the only way to give your family the highest quality water.

5. I know it’s almost winter here in the States but it will be summer sometime somewhere and there will be bugs and mosquitos. Now as you know repellents contain dangerous chemicals. It has been shown that prescription drugs in you system can combine with other compounds such as what you put on your skin and can cause brain cell death and other neurotic reactions including seizures. A natural substance which I use daily in my oil burner (it is also called Indian oil of verbena) is a great choice to keep the bugs away. You will find it at your health food store.

Potato Chip Chicken Fingers

Potato Chip Chicken Fingers
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

1.Start with your chips. Like I said – the original idea was to use Poore Brothers Parmesan Garlic potato chips, but these Cheddar & Sour Cream chips had an excellent flavor too!

2. For 2 servings, crush 3 cups potato chips in a bag with a rolling pin or your hands, or use a food processor. Place the crumbs into a shallow dish or bowl.

3. Next, pat dry 2 chicken breasts then season lightly on both sides with salt & pepper. Most chips have a lot of salt on them already, but you’ll miss the flavor if you skip this step.

4. Cut the chicken into 4 or 5 strips. You could also use chicken tenders for this!

5. Layout the chicken and chip crumbs next to a shallow dish with 1 egg whisked with 1 Tablespoon milk (could use water) and a nonstick-sprayed, foil-lined baking sheet.

6. Dunk the chicken into the egg mixture then roll in the chip crumbs and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping once, and you’re done! Easy.

7. I think a dunkable dip is a must for chicken fingers, and a honey mustard sauce sounded like it’d be really yummy with the cheddar & sour cream flavor of the chips.

8. All I did was stir together 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt with 2 Tablespoons yellow mustard, 1-1/2 Tablespoons dijon mustard and 2 Tablespoons honey until smooth.

Take a Look – Nothing to lose

I am not personally in the habit of promoting any money making deals. The reason being 9 times out of 10 I do not know the person promoting the business so am not prepared to take the risk. I am not against anyone making money but of course I don’t like them doing it at my expense. Done it before and had my fingers burnt.

My Husband and I have been making a study of the business below created by a guy called Vick Strizheus. We have been looking into this for almost a year and have come to the conclusion it is the best deal you are going to see for some time.
Vick Strizheus from High Traffic Academy is doing a LIVE class teaching exactly what’s working right now and how you can immediately model this in your business too.

Vick will show you his step-by-step process for creating up to $10,000+ per month income, even if you have no list or never made a dime before!

Look, you have nothing to lose and more to gain by watching this video and its FREE.

Be Healthy Be Beautiful – Hand Pressure Points

I found this book called “Zone Therapy” many years ago in fact the first book which is the one I have, was printed in 1990 and I have referred to this book many times.
I was watching a program on hand massage and remembered how helpful and easy this type of pressure point massage is.
Massage of the hands has the advantage of being inconspicuous and you can give yourself a Zone Therapy workout in public without anyone noticing.
When you are treating the hands use the thumb of one hand to treat the other hand. Start massaging the hand at the tip of the thumb and work with pressure all over it, including the sides and the back. Work down into the webbing g part of the thumb also.
Be systematic and leave out none of the pressure points in the chart.
Work for 10 seconds on each point. Always return to any sore spots.
Do the same with the fingers. Work over each finger from the tip, applying pressure to underneath, sides and the back and down to the webbing of each finger.
Remember if you apply pressure over the top joints of your thumbs and fingers it will give the entire body a good toning up.
Pressure over the fingers will help prevent many conditions. A daily work out with the fingers and toes (show that another day) will help stimulate the nervous systems and build up the nerve strength in the body. Help relieve many symptoms such as nausea, travel sickness also it is said to be good for neuralgia, neuritis or cramps and circulation.
The author of this book and many other books says “Zone Therapy help keep a mental image of the youthful, beautiful healthy you.

Say to yourself ” I will succeed” and your life will be a daily miracle.

This chart is of the right hand. The left hand is duplicated.

Once you have done the right hand with your left thumb and fingers repeat on your left hand with right thumb and fingers

Facial Pressure Point Massage – Helps Make You Healthy And Youthful

I bought a book several years ago called Joseph Corvo’s Zone therapy. It is an illustrated book on systems of pressure point massage. It was developed by him as a tool to fight illnes and old age. It will only take you ten minutes of your day to do these exercises.

Saves on Beauty treatments, gives good health, well being and confidence. Savings all round don’t you think.

Do I do them? Well I used to and now that I have found this book again I believe I will start to do them again. As I have said many times I believe in prevention not so much the cure. Saves on Doctors bills. That goes for the Ganoderma products that I am now promoting. I love to share with anyone things that will keep us healthy and vibrant.

I will go through the 10 minute regime but I suggest you get the book it is excellent.

1. MENTAL STIMULATION. Find the edge of the forehead where the bone indents, with indent fingers , then with a firm upward and outward circular movement , move slowley with both fingers in towards the centre of the forehead, then out again. Complete four times. Remember if it is tender thai because poisons are blocking the proper functiong of this Zone.

2. PITUITARY GLAND AND THIRD EYE. Find the slight indent in your forehead. Again massage upward and outward in a radius for thirty seconds.

3.THE COLONS. To massage pressure points 3 and 4 tap gently underneath the eye, starting on the outside and moving inwards towards the nose, then out again. Complete four times

5. HEALTHY BOWEL ACTION. Find the ridge of the cheekbone at its highest point, with indent fingers, then press up into it, then massage as hard as you can in a upward and outward circular movement while moving slowly the length of the cheekbone. Complete four times.

6. STOMACH PROBLEMS. Without lifting the fingers, slide along the skin of your now, press as hard as you feel comfortable with and rotate slowly for thirty seconds.

7. THE SPLEEN. Pressing inwards on either side of the ridge that runs from your nose to the middle of your upper lip, rotate your fingers in a circle. Press hard so that you feel your gums underneath.

8. PANCREAS. Starting at the extremeties of the underside of the lips, with your indent fingers work i8nwards with a firm rotating motion towards the centre, then out again. Complete four times. Feel your lower gums through your lower lip.

9. LUNGS. Find the muscle running down the length of the side of the mouth, with indent fingers, then press inwards and outwards with your rotating motion as hard as you can bear for thirty seconds.

10. SEXUAL DESIRE. Starting immediatly below the ear, rub with rotating movement of fingers along the ridge of the jawbone until you are directly underneath the pupils of your eyes. Work back again and repeat four times as hard as you can.

11. LIVER AND LYMPHATIC SYSTEM. Find the deepest pit of the cheek, where the jawbone meets the cheekbones. Work in a circular movement as hard as you can for thirty seconds.

12. SYMPATHETIC NERVOUS SYSTEM. Toning up the whole nervous system. Work the centre point high on your forehead in a circular movement as hard as you are comfortable for thirty seconds.

These are only some of the examples in Joseph Corvo’s book. I find that in the evening when I get to bed is a good time to do these exercises. It is a peaceful time of day and only for 10 minutes.
I hope you can understand my instructions and wish you great health and no visits to the doctor.
