Mistakes That Make Your Hair Look Thinner.

  1. Using the wrong brushes.

Having great hair has a lot to do with the tools you use on your hair especially the brushes.  “Flat brushes and metal brushes won’t give you as much tension when working with the hair as a boar bristle or mixed bristle round brush. Celebrity stylist and founder of Eva Scrivo Salon. ” Tension allows you to get a better grip to get lift and volume in the right places.”

There is a brush called Kent CSGL Ladies’ Thinning Hairbrush that has been  designed to use on hair for those with a thinning problem.51HoWsNO9uL._SL1000_

2. Your hair is just one all-over color.

Hair that is all the one color tends to make your hair look thinner
Add varied tones. Highlighting definitely adds depth to your strands.

3. The length locks could be weighing you down and make your hair look thinner.

Cut your hair short or mid length. If your hair is thinning, long hair will look a little stringy and wispy. Keeping it shorter is easier to keep it healthy.

4. Hair color too close to your skin color.

When you have a pale complexion and your hair is platinum it is inclined to make your hair look thinner. Add some varied colors to your hair to take that bland look away.

5. Dying your hair too dark.

If your hair is thinning and your hair is too dark it seem to make your part a little wider which gives the appearance of thinning hair. Put some varied shades to help give the appearance of thicker hair.

6. Be careful of the products you use on your hair

Oil- and silicone-based products lay heavy in the hair and tend to make it look thinner.

7. Hot Tools

Be so careful how often you use hot. Hot tools can damage the cuticle, promoting hair breakage.
Use a heat protectant before styling with hot tools to avoid scorching your hair.

8. Your cut is too blunt.

Have your hair layered as it gives your hair that thicker look.

9. Don’t over shampoo

Do not use shampoo every day. When you shower use just conditioner and say shampoo only once or twice a week. Avoid products with harsh detergents, like sodium lauryl sulfate, which can cause breakage.
When you suds up, don’t rub shampoo into the hair itself. Instead, gently massage it into your scalp and let it slide down through your locks.

10 Try a tinted hair spray.
Use a colored powder made specifically to disguise hair loss. These come with an applicator like the kind you use to apply eye shadow. Choose a shade that matches your roots. Apply the product lightly — tap the excess off the brush and dab it gently onto your scalp.

11. Don’t Tease.

Teasing seems like an easy way to give your locks a boost, but it can damage your hair and cause split ends and fly-aways.

Saving Tip For Today

Often you have a room that needs touching up with new paintwork. If color is not a big issue, then you are able to save money.  Your  paint store will often have paint at fraction of the price because of customers  ordering paint and not liking the color of the  paint mix. The stores will then probably be selling them off cheaper to rid of the paint.

3. Tetrachromacy is the ability to see light from four distinct sources. An example of this in the animal kingdom is the zebrafish (Danio rerio), which can see light from the red, green, blue, and ultraviolet sections of the light spectrum. True tetrachromacy in humans is much rarer.

Humans are normally trichromats, having three types of cone cells that receive light from either the red, green, or blue part of the light spectrum. Each cone can pick up about 100 graduations of color and the brain combines colors and graduations so that there are about 1 million distinguishable hues coloring your world. A true tetrachromat with an extra type of cone between red and green (in the orange range) would, theoretically, be able to perceive 100 million colors.

Tetrachromacy is thought to be much more common in women than men – estimates range from 2 – 3% to 50% of women. Interestingly, colour-blindness in men (much more common than in women) may be inherited from women with tetrachromacy.

Soon her notions caught on throughout the country, and onMay 9, 1914 President Woodrow Wilson made the holiday official

“This woman, who died penniless in a sanitarium in a state of dementia, was a woman who could have profited from Mother’s Day if she wanted to,” Antolini said.

“But she railed against those who did, and it cost her everything, financially and physically.”

5. Drinking too much water too quickly can lead to water intoxication. Water intoxication occurs when water dilutes the sodium level in the bloodstream and causes an imbalance of water in the brain. Water intoxication causes an electrolyte imbalance that affects concentrations of the ion sodium, and it leads to a condition called hyponatremia.

No Need To Overcook Vegetables Any More

I thought this was pretty cool. How often do we overcook our vegetables? I know my Mom used to so overcook cabbage. I think she used to boil it for 20 minutes till they were almost void of any green color. That was the thing to do in those days, before they knew about stir fry, where you only just cook the vegetables so they are still a little crunchy and still green and tasty.
