An acre of hemp produces more paper than an acre of trees. Paper made from hemp lasts for centuries, compared to 25-80 years for paper made from wood pulp. The US Declaration of Independence was written on hemp paper.

2. 10 Good uses for salt –

1. Deter ants
Sprinkle salt in doorways, on window sills and anywhere else ants use to sneak into your house. It’s a sure way to keep them out!

2. Kill grass and weeds growing in cracks in your driveway
Tired of weeding your driveway? Sprinkle salt on the grass and pour very hot water over it. Not only is this a highly effective way to kill unwanted plants, it’s also eco-friendly and cheap.

3. Say goodbye to fleas
If your dogs have fleas, simply wash their doghouse and blankets in salt water. If you’re worried your dogs may have brought fleas into your house, simply sprinkle your carpets lightly with salt and then brush it in. Leave it for 12 hours and vacuum thoroughly.

4. Pick up a dropped egg
If you drop an egg on the kitchen floor, sprinkle salt on the mess and leave it there for 20 minutes. You’ll be able to wipe it right up.

5. Clean up oven spills quickly
If a pie or casserole bubbles over in the oven, pour a handful of salt on top of the spill. It won’t smoke, smell and, most importantly, will bake into a crust that makes the mess easier to clean once it’s cooled.

6. Clean brown spots off your iron
Simply sprinkle salt on a sheet of waxed paper, slide the iron across it and rub lightly with silver polish. Your iron will look like brand-new in no time.

7. Remove stains from your coffee pot
Fill it with 1/4 cup of table salt and a dozen ice cubes. Swish the mixture around, let it sit for half an hour, fill it with cold water and rinse. Your coffee pot will look brand new.

8. Keep your windshield frost-free
Dip a sponge into salt water and rub it on windows, and they won’t frost up even when the mercury drops below zero.

9. Shell nuts more easily
Soak pecans and walnuts in salt water for a few hours before shelling them. Doing so will make it easier to remove the meat.

10. Drip-proof candles
If you soak new candles in a strong salt solution for a few hours, then dry them well, they won’t drip when you burn them.

And some more uses

11. Tame a wild BBQ
Toss a bit of salt on the flames caused by fat dripping from the grill. It’ll reduce the flames and calm the smoke without cooling the coals (like water would).

12. Soothe a bee sting
Wet the sting right away, then cover it with salt.

13. Stop a grease fire
Pouring salt on top of a grease fire will smother it. Completely.

14. Cooking tip
If a soup or stew is too sweet, add a pinch of salt.

3. Aspirin discovered during experimentation –

Bayer died on May 6, 1880, while the company was still in the fabric dye business. The company went on to employ chemists to come up with innovative dyes and products and in 1897 that’s exactly what one of the chemists, Felix Hoffmann, did.

While experimenting with a waste product of one of the dye components to find relieve for his father’s rheumatism, Hoffmann chemically synthesised a stable form of salicylic acid powder. The compound became the active ingredient in a pharmaceutical wonder product: Aspirin.

Fine Diagram on How Kangen Water Helps Weight Loss💦

I can’t express more the advantages of drinking Kangen water to help lose weight. My husband has lost 60lbs in 6 months and drinks half his body weight in oz of Kangen water per day. Since he increased his intake of Kangen water to half his body weight he lost 30lbs in 3 months. Enjoys coffee for the taste of the good quality and not the need to get him going for the day. I have lost weight not sure how much as I never get on scales. But friends and clothes tell me so.  ❤️ my friends.
This diagram below is a good example of how it works.

Coffee Doesn’t Actually Count Toward Your Daily Water Intake

My husband is of the belief that his cups of coffee per day also count as his eight cup requirement for the day but I beg to differ and this article confirms it. You still need to consume 8 – 10 glasses of water per day for proper hydration. Coffee of course has other benefits so drink up that aromatic kick ass pleasurable moment.

According to Courtney Schuchmann, MS, RD, LDN,” coffee may actually have a dehydrating effect on our bodies if we don’t consume enough water in addition to it. Schuchmann does not recommend cutting coffee out of our daily routine since it has many possible health benefits such as “reduced risk of colorectal cancer, improved bowel movements, and improved liver regeneration for those with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH).” She suggests we continue with our daily coffee consumption “since studies have found that individuals who drink more coffee per day typically have lower incidence of the above mentioned diseases,” but to ensure that if our goal is to drink eight to 10 cups of water a day, that our coffee intake is in addition to that.”

Dr. Susan Lark on Kangen Water®
“Drinking four to six glasses of alkaline water a day will help to neutralize over acidity and over time will help to restore your buffering ability. Alkaline water should be used when conditions of over acidity develop, such as cold, flu or bronchitis. Like vitamins C, E and Beta Carotene, alkaline water acts as an antioxidant because of its excess supply of free electrons. This can help the body against the development of heart disease, strokes, immune dysfunctions, and other common ailments.”

“The benefits of the alkaline water created through electrolysis far exceed just its ability to gently raise the pH of the cells and tissues of the body and to neutralize acids. Because the alkaline water has gained a significant number of free electrons through the electrolysis process, it is able to donate these electrons to active oxygen free radicals in the body, thereby becoming a super antioxidant. By donating its excess free electrons, alkaline water is able to block the oxidation of normal tissue by free oxygen radicals.”

Dr. Susan Lark is one of the foremost authorities in the fields of clinical nutrition and preventive medicine. A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, she has served on the clinical faculty of Stanford University Medical School, and taught in their Division of Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Lark is a distinguished clinician, author, lecturer and innovative product developer. Through her extensive clinical experience, she has been an innovator in the use of self-care treatments such as diet, nutrition, exercise and stress management techniques in the field of women’s health, and has lectured extensively throughout the United States on topics in preventive medicine. She is the author of 13 best-selling books on women’s health including The Chemistry of Success.
Coffee may actually be hydrating, according to Dr. Luiza Petre, a board-certified cardiologist. “It seems hydration is not offset by the diuretic effect of coffee. Our body quickly compensates for the caffeine, so coffee has an overall hydrating effect.” However, she does not recommend making coffee our only source of hydration and adds that that we should consume no more than three to four cups (and no more than 400 mg of caffeine) a day.
If we’re pouring in sugary additives or full-fat milk, our coffee may not be as healthy or hydrating. The best way to drink your coffee is black, and if that’s too much to handle, try adding some cinnamon or a touch of honey for added sweetness.

So the end story is you still need to drink 8 – 10 glasses of water as well as your coffee and of course I recommend Kangen Water especially for  that  extra boost to the taste.  You will notice the difference between tap water and Kangen water.

2. 69% of people in the states use the phone on the toilet.
They did research on those who did not use their phones in the toilet and the bacteria count was 30. Those who used their phone on the toilet had a bacteria count of 109,000.

A little quiet time on the loo may seem like an ideal time to check your phone and play a quick game, but this is bad behavior for two reasons. First, it spreads germs to your phone screen that follow you out and recontaminate your fingers after you wash your hands. Second, prolonged toilet sitting can contribute to hemorrhoids, an uncomfortable condition most would like to avoid. Leave your cell phone at your desk and sit on the toilet only for as long as you need to do your business.

3. Fluoride is VERY capable of damaging your brain. Over three hundred studies have found that fluoride is literally a neurotoxin! This meaning that it can and does damage our brains. Three studies were also able to link exposure to fluoride with impaired fetal brain development. This is a major health issue that should not be happening.
Curcumin has been found to reduce the effects of neurotoxicity induced by fluoride. While we know curcumin is extremely beneficial it is even more so now. This study was authored by researchers from the Department of Zoology, University College of Science, M.L. Sukhadia University. These researchers spent almost a decade investigating the ways in which fluoride induces neurodegenerative changes in the brains of mammals.
For those who are not aware, curcumin is found in Tumeric.

5. Why Bananas are curved? – Bananas go through a unique process known as negative geotropism. Instead of continuing to grow towards the ground, they start to turn towards the sun. The fruit grows against gravity, giving the banana its familiar curved shape.
But why you say? The answer lies in the botanical history of the banana. It originated in the middle layer of the rainforest, where there is little sunlight. If the fruit were to grow towards the small amount of light that penetrates sideways through the vegetation, the plant could overbalance and topple over.

Drinking coffee can help cut the risk of cancer

Drinking coffee can cut the risk of cancer

DRINKING three to five cups of coffee a day reduces the risk of liver cancer, scientists have found.
By MARK REYNOLDS
Thu, Nov 16, 2017

It can also cut the risk of cirrhosis and liver disease by up to 70 percent.

A review of American and Italian research concluded that “moderate” consumption slashed the risk of liver cancer by 40 percent compared with those who did not drink any coffee – with more cups giving more protection.

It found coffee was associated with an even greater reduction in the risk of cirrhosis, of between 25 and 70 percent.

The risk of chronic liver disease was reduced by 25 to 30 percent in low coffee consumers and up to 65 percent in those who drank a lot. Coffee protects the liver due to a combination of effects caused by its constituents, the review team concluded.
