What the Heck Is This Stuff Called Kangen Waterđź’¦

Good start to an informative video.

He has a good point about the plastic waste in this world. Thankfully both Australia and New Zealand are aware of this and doing a great cleanup job of reducing the waste of all sorts of plastic from tooth picks to bottles, caps etc which invariably end up on our beaches and ocean. It is also getting recognition in the states and parts of Europe. Only parts. Just been to Croatia and was alarmed to see the plastic waste and cigarette butts just thrown in the ocean and the same with Curacao. Such beautiful countries marred by people not been educated in keeping their environment clean which incidentally is their living as well. So for me the more people that make these places aware of the damage that they are doing the better.

Hence back to the subject of these Kangen water machines of which I have two. Not only are they great for your health they are great for the environment. I would advise that you listen to what he has to say. It is to the point without wasting your time with drivel.

How To Extend the Life of the Bouquet of Flowers

This company  ZFlowers.com I use to send my Mom her flowers in NZ and think they are the best. They are world-wide, have always had no problem with the flowers delivered. Almost the same as the picture on the website and inexpensive also delivered on time. Just thought I would give you a heads up as some companies are not so honest in their deliveries. I don’t get any financial benefit from this company just like to promote good service

A bouquet of flowers or a nicely done floral arrangements is more pleasurable if they will last longer. Here are 5 ways you should not miss in extending the life of your cut flowers.

  1. Trim the stem under water or under running water.Trim the end of each stem with a sharp, non-serrated knife under water at 45-degree angle. Make sure to submerge it in water after trimming so as to avoid air pockets to form that can block the path of water into the stem. Never ever use scissors as it can crash the flower stem and can cause it to die quickly.Tip #1: When cutting flowers from the garden, do it early in the morning when the temperature is still cool. Then, place them in water immediately.Tip #2: To improve the life of flowers that ooze a milky “sap”, immerse its bottom by 2 inches in boiling water for 10 seconds before using them in an arrangement.2. Remove wilted petals and leaves.

Any leaves or foliage submerged in the water will break down and can cause bacteria to form.  So remove any foliage from the part of the stem that will be submerged in water.

Tip #1: Don’t jam too many flowers in the vase as overcrowding stems can wilt them more quickly and release bacteria into the water.

Tip #2: Always pluck out wilted stems and leaves to keep the flowers looking fresh and avoid bacteria from forming.

  1. Put the arranged flowers in a clean vase.

Before you arrange the flowers to your vase, make sure they are clean and free from any bacteria. Use dish soap, hot water, and white vinegar or bleach to clean the inner side of the vase. A teaspoon or two of sugar and bleach, when added to the water, can feed the stems of the flowers and keep the water free from bacteria.

  1. Feed the cut flowers with solutions or preservatives.

Flowers need food to help them grow and keep them healthy. For cut flowers,  foods are used to improve the flow of water on the stems, to help buds open and last longer, and to reduce the growth of bacteria and fungi. The following solutions are good to feed to flowers:

  • One part Lemon-lime soda and three parts water. Plus ÂĽ teaspoon household bleach per quart to keep solution clear.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon sugar, and ÂĽ teaspoon bleach per quart. Add another ÂĽ teaspoon bleach to vase every 4 days.
  • Commercial flower preservative sold in flower shops and supermarkets.

Tip: Aspirin or  vinegar is rarely effective.

  1. Change the water on the vase every other day and keep the flowers away from direct heat.

Change the water and cut the stem of the flowers at least every other day. Keep them out of direct sunlight or any place that exposes them to heat such as heaters, fireplaces or appliances. Keep the flowers cool. The higher the temperature, the faster they deteriorate.

The use of KANGEN WATER  has also been known to keep your flowers to last longer.

Did You Know – 07/21/2014

1. Use cupcake cases to cover drinks glasses in the summer and prevent flies from dropping in. I need to do this with my wine glass because you can be sure, if you are outside and you need to go do something when you come back there is a fly in your red wine. They love it.

71

2. Use bulldog clips to keep stacked bottles in place in the fridge

72

3. Another way to clean a chopping board is to cover liberally with
Kosher salt and leave overnight. Scrape off with a cloth in the
morning to find the salt has absorbed all moisture to leave your board clean and dry.

75

4. This has to be the simplest way to open those annoying blister packs!

5. Use a cut potato to easily remove a broken light bulb

6. Use chalk to remove grease stains from clothes. Simply rub white
chalk on the affected area and wash as normal – the chalk will absorb
the grease and be washed away in the cycle.

Space Saver And Healthy As Well

I am not sure where you would get the planter boxes from. I suspect Home Depot or maybe Lowe’s. One I did find that had good wooden garden planters is http://www.gardeners.com.
If you have a handyman or woman in the household they might be able to build something similar to these pictures. Anyway if you have limited space they are a great idea.
I would suggest you built two and for one year fill one with composted household scraps and then the other one after the growing season, the following year, then you would always have clean healthy food.

Just sayin.

Food Pyramids maximize space to grow food. Apart from being very practical they are beautiful to look at.

Clean Up Your Lymphatic System

lymph system

Your lymphatic system rids your blood of waste, it is an extremely important process. Without it, your cells, tissues and organs would be overloaded with toxins and eventually the body creates a weakness in the immune system and the next thing you know you have a disease that can be quite serious . The only problem with the lymphatic system is that it doesn’t have its own pump; you have to stimulate its circulation. Here’s how:

1. Use a dry body brush: Start with your arms and legs and use long strokes, brushing towards your heart. Aim for five minutes before your morning shower.

2. Bounce on a rebounder: Vertical motion exercise smoothly opens and closes the lymphatic system’s one-way valves. Jumping on a rebounder, even gently, increases lymph flow by as much as 15-30 times.

3. Try lymphatic massage: This stimulates the lymph nodes and promotes fluid movement in lymph vessels.

4. Practise deep breathing: It oxygenates the lymphatic system, and moves fluid through it.

5. Eat clean: Foods for a top-notch lymphatic system include organic fruits and veggies, especially leafy greens for their detoxifying chlorophyll content. Essential fatty acids – found in flaxseed oil, spirulina, walnuts, almonds and avocadoes – are necessary for proper lymphatic function. Avoid preservatives, artificial sweeteners, refined grains, excess sugar, chemicals, and processed foods.

6. Drink up: The lymphatic system requires a constant supply of fluid, so chug a lug!

7. Move your ass: When your muscles move, they massage the lymphatic system and promote the flow of lymphatic fluid.
