Did You Know – 06/14/2016 – These 7 Poses to Make Your Selfies look Great.

Did you know these 7 poses to make your selfies look fantastic or a least a bit better than normal what ever that is.

I know some that take selfies and they look great at any angle, not me I feel I would look better if I was hanging upside down.

Well apparently there are certain techniques that can improve the look. These techniques will make sure you get the best of what you have hopefully give you great shot.

  1. Eliminate a double chin

Apparently Heidi Klum does this trick and that is to:-

a. Put your tongue on the roof of your mouth. (lengthens your neck)

b. Stick your chin out like a turtle

Both of these tricks do great things for a good selfie.

2. Slim your waist

Turn your body 45 degrees and put the hand that’s closest to the camera on your hip. This creates a triangle in between your arm and your waist. Next, put the other hand on your hip with that same triangle, and you’ll instantly slim your waistline.

3.  Shrink your hips

when your hips are closest to the camera they  looks bigger. Pushing your hips back makes them look smaller and will also tilt your shoulders forward, making you look a lot thinner.

4. Make that arm look taunt and terrific

Now this hint is a good one for me as I always think my arm looks like an arm of a Russian Wrestler.

When you let your arm hang down on your sides it flattens your muscles out and does not engage your muscles.

Use your shoulders to lift the arm facing the camera, and pull it away from your body to eliminate unflattering photos.

5. Elongate your neck.

Lowering your front shoulder elongates the neck and accentuates the way you’re posing your arms, hips, and face.

6. Slim and Accentuate Your Curves

This would be a bit difficult to do if you were taking a selfie but if you have one of those pole things you probably can.

If you are facing the camera tilt your body and bend knee in to make an ‘S’ shape it makes you look slimmer but curvy at the same time.

7. Get the best angle.

You will always look better if you have the camera looking down on you. Shooting down from a higher angle highlights all the other tricks and creates one of the most flattering angles.

If you are taking a selfie in public always check your background make sure there is nothing there or at least nothing happening in the back ground that could embarrass you or anyone else.

The best photo’s are the ones when you are the happiest so have fun, make some crazy shots and just be you.

Whale Of A Time!

On Sunshine Coast of Australia

Yesterday at 3am we all got up and went out in the boat for a day of fishing. It was very dark but we managed to weave our way through the channels and eventually got out to sea. The Ocean was gorgeous and after about 30 minutes out to sea we were greeted by a whale that swam around us and then breached. What a great experience. Although the whale was young it was a spectacular sight as you can see. As always I was already taking pictures and was lucky enough to have the camera ready to fire when this happened.

Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 Radar Detector for iPhone and iPod Touch

Do you want to know where the ‘Red Light’ camera’s are at intersections?

Well this is just the gadget, it is called Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 Radar Detector(IRAD)

I hate red light camera’s, I believe them to be totally intrusive, and just another Big Brother spying machine. They are everywhere unfortunately and we have to learn to live with them.

When I found out about this device I was so excited about it, I had to share it with you.
I must make it clear, that to run red lights is rather foolish but sometimes we do tend to misjudge and we get caught. Very painful for the wallet I have to say, so hopefully this device may help to prevent this pain.

Here is a list of the great things about it.

1. IRAD alerts drivers of on coming red light camera’s.
2. It is a high performance detector and detects all radar & laser guns currently in use.
3. 360 degree protection
4. iRadar app displays visual alerts from the detector on the iPhone
5. iPhone features also include view alert history on the radar map, alert logging of frequent speed trap activity, speedometer and compass.
6. IRAD reduces false alerts in City and Highways

This device sounds amazing.
The Cobra iRadar iRAD-100 Radar Detector can be bought on Amazon.com for $109.69 which is at least $10 -$20 cheaper than anywhere else that I have found. It has 4 star reviews also.
Keep in mind it is probably cheaper than a speeding ticket or a ticket for going through a red light.

10 Items Cheaper in 2011 Than 2010

1. Full-Size Digital SLR Camera

Price in 2010              $319

Price in 2011               $299

This camera is  great value. Point and shoot cameras are very popular and have caused the price of these heavier type cameras to be reduced.

2. Kindle

Price in 2010: $130

Price in 2011: $99

Because there is so much competition now in the retail market, the kindle price has dropped considerably.

3. HDTVs

Price in 2010: $699
Price in 2011: $599

The price for the 42″ and the 55″ HDTVs have been dropping for the last couple of years. The technology is getting better each year and the components cheaper. The price between the 42″ and the 55″ is very little so buyers lean towards the 55″. I expect the 42″ may be replaced by the 55″
4. Blu-Ray Player

Price in 2010: $50
Price in 2011: $39

Blue Ray is now being built into a number of tv’s and the price of the individual unit will probably come down. More than likely they will eventually become obsolete.
5. Wii System Bundles

Price in 2010: $150

Price in 2011: $99

There is so much competition out there with the Xbox, Sony Playstation and Microsoft knect is getting very popular. So the basic Wii becomes much cheaper as the demand drops.
6. 16GB SD Card

Price in 2010: $17
Price in 2011: $12

As memory cards get more powerful, the 16GB card just doesn’t stack up to the rest anymore. So the price is dropping significantly.
7. Portable GPS

Price in 2010: $45
Price in 2011: $40

Portable GPS is now built into cars or on phones and iPads, so basically they are becoming obsolete. $40 is about as low as they will probably get.
8. 15″, 16″ and 17″ Dual-Core Laptop

Price in 2010: $218,

Price in 2011: $199

As tablets are becoming more popular, computers are dropping in price.

It has been said that Tablets will replace the use of laptop because they are lighter and much more portable. Not so heavy to carry on the plane.

9. External 2TB USB Drives

Price in 2010: $90

Price in 2011: $50

“Technology is getting better and faster, and with all the things people are doing on computers, they need more storage, so this USB drive is less popular,” said Pinsker of dealnews.com.

10. iPhone 3GS

Price in 2010: $97
Price in 2011: $49

You can already find one from AT&T for this low price.

The iPhone 5 is reportedly coming out in April so the price of the old one of course comes down. Still a great phone and good price if you need one now.
