Poem Friday on Thursday – 21 Today – From Child to Adult For Me Was Way Too Fast a Leap

On Halloween, 21 years ago this soul was born this day

21 years  this soul has given me pleasure in the most delightful way

Not going to embarrass him by gushing too much

But  He has a great nature, kind, funny  and a soft touch

A little bit Aussie and a little bit Dutch

Oh a little bit Pom and Kiwi as such

I know his future is bright as he is quite focused and driven I believe

A Great and happy life ahead I am sure he will achieve

Happy Birthday Jayden as we used to say “You have the key of the Door”

Which you could say,  you had a long time before

May you have another fantastic 21 years and many many more

And May your Angels be with you where ever you are

Working, Surfing, driving, swimming, partying and even a bar

I love you and proud of you  Jayden a heap

May all your wishes come true and a healthy life you keep

21 today from child to Adult  for me was way too fast a leap

Nana L❤️

Best Buy Wednesday Book -04/13/2016

This book I read on my holiday at Bermagui Beach. Could not put it down. It is written by Rosalie Ham and the story is set in Australia and a compelling read. It is also in Video now which  features Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth and English actor and Kate Winslet.

Camp Oven Cooking

This is a very Aussie thing to do when camping. I have been known to make a blackberry pie this way as well and then go the the nearest shop and get ice-cream. We kinda didn’t rough it.
Very Very yummy

Another Aussie Joke

I know, exposing my funny side this morning. oh and by the way a ‘Tinnie is an aluminum boat’.

Joke

Mike goes to a boat and camping show in the big smoke and wins a tinnie.

ATT11

He brought it home and his wife looks at him and says,

“What you gonna do with that. There’s no water to Float a boat within 160 Klms of here.”

He says, “I won it and I’m gonna keep it.”

His brother came over to visit several days later. He sees
The wife and asks where his brother is.

She says, “He’s out there in his tinnie”,
Pointing to the paddock behind the house.

The brother heads out behind the house and sees his Brother in the middle of a dry paddock sitting in the
Tinnie with a fishing rod in his hand ..
He yells out to him, “What are you doing?”

His brother replies, “I’m fishing. What the hell does it look like I’m a doing?”

His brother yells, “It’s people like you that give us people from the country a bad name, making everybody think we’re stupid.

If I could swim, I’d come out there and kick your arse!”

Back in Aussie

Back online again. I am in Australia at the moment visiting my Grandkids and doing a bit of business.
I looked after my 95 year old Mother in NZ for two months while my brother was in Europe.
I had a good time with my Mother but I especially have a good time with her dog ‘Charlie’.
Every morning I would take Charlie round the township of Omokoroa (NZ). It was quite some walk and I was surprised how those little legs kept up. Some days she was up to it, some not so energetic but always with the rattle of the dog lead she would come running.
Here are some pictures of one of the walks we did. As you will see it is a spectacular walk with lots of greenery and lovely flowers, beach, and bush.
I miss her.
