1. Anybody that takes Vitamin C should avoid the following Soft drinks: Sunkist, Fanta, Diet Coke, Sprite, & Pepsi Max.
These drinks contain Sodium Benzoate 211 on the label. A chemical reaction between Vitamin C and Sodium Benzoate creates Benzine a highly carcinogenic chemical.
Benzine has the ability to severely damage the DNA in the Mitochondria to the point that it totally inactivates it, knocks it out altogether. The Mitochondria consumes Oxygen to give you energy, and if you damage it, then the cell starts to malfunction very seriously, often fatally, a whole array of Diseases has been tied to the damage to the DNA, including Parkinson’s Disease and quite a lot of neurodegenerative Diseases. 2. Dogs can remember things that happen when they were not paying attention. New evidence suggests that like humans, dogs have episodic memory which lets you remember specific events from your life by absorbing them as they occur, even when they don’t seem relevant. This trait is linked to self-awareness, and scientists used to think it only evolved in primates.

“Dogs probably pay more attention to us than we think and observe us more than we think,”  explained by the lead author Claudia Fugazza, an ethnologist at the University of Eotvos Lorand in Budapest.

Poem Friday « Bridge Between Life and Death

Bridge Between Life and Death
Author: Lesley Voth

As you know with every breath
It is a bridge between life and death

With all the anxiety and our stress
Breathing deep will make it less

You have seen the vegetation in the cold
Goes to sleep, slows breathing, looks brown and old

But in the spring its like a breath of fresh air
Its warmer, bright, nature takes a deep breath, a colorful affair

So when you are feeling down and a little stressed
Taking a deep slow breath is surely the best

It has been proved it will help you be happy and healthy
Sooth your soul, and be abundant in all things wealthy

Start your day well and be conscious of your breath
Feel it because it is the bridge between life and death

Retrain Your Brain- New Approach To Stress

There has been some research done by Karen Reivich, PhD, a research associate in the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania with regard to anxiety and how to best handle it. They have been coaching soldiers practical skills for becoming more tolerant to stresses of the military services. This information of course can benefit everyone.

Here are some of the tips they give you for handling anything that may come your way.

1. Get Perspective.

Most of us focus on the worst-case scenario in most situations. Instead of sweating over it, take a look at the opposite. Jot down the worst case scenario then the best case. When you put the pen to paper it can take you out of the negative spiral. You can begin to see the problem in perspective and look at it honestly. It helps calm the anxiety and look at the situation in a more positive way.

2. Don’t wait for the sword to drop.

“The best way to undercut anxiety is to take purposeful action.” says Reivich. If you have heard rumours that some of you may be losing your job or that maybe the repair on your car is going to be bigger than you thought. Meet this problem head on – have a meeting with your boss and see what the situation is for sure. Go and see your mechanic, get an estimate on the job. If it is more that you expect then maybe you can arrange to make 2 or 3 payments on the cost till it is paid for. Maybe it will be less than you expect. You won’t know any of these answers unless you meet them head on. If it does look like you could lose your job then get a resume prepared.

3. Look For Joy.

This is not always easy but research has shown that people who cultivate a positive emotion generally deal much better with adversity. Joy and gratitude can help inoculate you against the paralysing effects of anxiety.

4. Pool Your Resources.

No problem is created by you and you alone and that is the same for solutions. Recognise your strengths. Make a list of them.
Combine these strengths with someone you know of similar strengths. combination of these strengths can make a powerful package. It can be the difference of a good nights sleep – or not. It is very comforting when things feel under-control even if its only temporary.

I know personally Stress can be very debilitating and I believe these tips are very practical and can be of great help to any anxiety that you may feel.
