Is Your Shower Making You ILLđź’¦

This is an interesting subject as we often think our shower is the most hygienic way of  keeping ourselves clean and healthy. Apparently not so. According to a team from the University of Colorado after intensive research found that some household shower heads contain a strain of lung-disease causing bacteria,  which is known as mycobacteria. This bacteria appears as a film of thin green slime and that can result in a lung infection that may cause coughing, shortness of breath, fatigue and weight loss which if infected can take at least 12 months of antibiotics to treat. Metal shower heads were found to have significantly than plastic ones (probably because the plastic has more chemicals that stop the growth) . They also found tap water was more contaminated than tank water. It is also interesting to note that this bacteria is resistant to chlorine. The suggestion is that you need to take the shower head off at least once a month and give it a good clean.

My suggestion is of course the Enagic shower system called Anespa DX.

ANESPA DX produces a continuous stream of healthy ionized mineral water. With a new, larger ceramic cartridge that removes almost 100% of chlorine and other harmful substances in your tap water, and adds safe, moisturizing minerals that are healthy for your skin and hair. Does Your Body lack Magnesium – Check It Out

According to research our bodies for most of us,  lack of magnesium.  There are many symptoms that will identify a lack of.

Number one: Because of what we spray on food it destroys the magnesium in our body.

Number two We’re increasingly stressed out. We’re running our engines on high to keep up with life and it’s draining us. Stress hormone production requires high levels of magnesium and stressful experiences lead to depletion of magnesium stores.
Number three We’re eating more sugar than ever. For every molecule of sugar we consume, our bodies use 54 molecules of magnesium to process it.
Fourth Low levels in the soil and modern farming techniques deplete stores of magnesium. lastly Magnesium is depleted by many pharmaceutical drugs and estrogen compounds such as oral contraceptives, antibiotics, cortisone, prednisone, and blood pressure medications (“Drug-induced nutrient depletion handbook,” Pelton, 2001). Diuretics in coffee and tea (caffeine) also raise excretion levels. Oh and by the way – flouride competes for absorption with magnesium!

The best way to increase your magnesium naturally you need to consume the following:-

1. Eat magnesium rich foods grown on organic soil.

2. Take ionic magnesium drops. This is my new favorite method, which I’ve learned from The Magnesium Miracle.

3. Apply magnesium oil to your skin! This is the second best way to raise your levels.

4. Soak in epsom salt baths. This will provide not only magnesium, but sulfur for your liver as well.

4. According to US scientists the key ingredient in garlic is 100 times more powerful than two popular antibiotics at fighting one of the leading causes of food poisoning. Tests found that a compound in garlic can pierce the protective biofilm employed by the bug, which makes it harder to destroy. Researchers also found the compound works faster than the antibiotics. The discovery could lead to new treatments for raw and processed meats and food preparation surfaces which would reduce incidences of Campylobacter food poisoning – One of the most common food borne illnesses in the world.
