Our Sommellier can’t stop talking about these wines. The Carneros wine appellation is renowned worldwide for its fine Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and sparkling wines. Chardonnay from the Carneros region benefits from the cooling breezes and proximity to the San Pablo Bay. Bravium’s 2010 vintages are simply delicious. These are limited production wines and at these prices will not last long.

Why We Love It

Bravium, Latin for “reward, price or gift,” is a splendid winery highlighting traditional, minimalistic winemaking by winemaker Derek Rohlffs. Bravium’s Carneros Appellation 2010 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are two of the finest wines Napa Valley has given us.
The Pinor Noir is remarkable for its uber-velvety mouthfeel. “One of the best Pinot Noirs I’ve had in a very long time…” is how Bobby Flay’s Sommelier described it. Floral aromas reminiscent of a Volnay help make this Pinot Noir stand apart from its California brethren. What we’ve got here is an amazingly expressive nose giving way to black cherry and pomegranate.
The Chardonnay is extraordinary as well. Old World winemaking meets Napa Valley Chardonnay fruit. This is pure Chardonnay without excessive oak influence. The bright acidity and distinct, oceanic minerality makes this Chardonnay reminiscent of a Chablis.
